I saw him in 2015 at the Eaux Claires music festival, he was great!
Yes he has a great live show. I haven't seen him live in a few years, probably should change that. Last time I saw him live was in 2010. Between 2004 and 2010, I saw him five times -- four concerts and a music festival.
You live in PDX right? You have access to so many great concerts! (And also Salt and Straw.
I was just in Portland a few weeks ago and got my fill, LOL)ETA: Also, Eau Claire has a ballin music festival? NEAT. I have friends who went to UW-Eau Claire and always pass through when I was driving to the Twin Cities, but never been to the city.

I do! And we are definitely spoiled here with good concerts. And the Almond Brittle with salted ganache ice cream at salt and straw is my weakness. It doesn't help that I live in walking distance from one of their locations.
The festival in Eau Claire was started three years ago by Justin Vernon (of Bon Iver) and Aaron Dressner (of the National). I went the first time year and it was almost magical- and so positive and friendly. It wasn't like any other festival I've ever been to. I would recommend it to anyone.
