What other forums do you read?

Decided to start an immature dumb post myself.

I very seldom go to any other forum. I just don't have time. I used to post a few times on a couple of them and don't even remember which ones. It's probably been several years ago.

I go to FSU, because truly, once I got in touch with my inner b*tch, it kinda fit in there! I don't do the 'skater specific' ones so much except Griazev's site, and rare check ins on one of the Yagudin ones, more to keep up to date on show dates and news than anything else.

Posted on everything from TLC to basketball sucks, Poor car drivers to cops are morons. And in every place I have been and said just one thing or nothing, it all has one similarity, people are whinny and like to attack to scape having any blame them selves. "If I talk about everyone else's flaws, tham maybe people wont see mine." Just idiots are the one who think they don't make a mistake once and a while, just live fully, not trying to hide by blaming others. They all have a number who do it, and that number is generally greater than the ones who don't.

I just hope people will lighten up! At least a little, whether it is talk can be cheep if you look overall. You have to read between the lines to see the lines. Grip it, and move on.

This one -= GS - acutely has the least amount of this that I have seen. And your thread is not stupid, thinking that it is..........

I like to check out different skating forums. I LOVE FSU, its quite amusing. Some of the skater-specific ones kinda suck because the posters get overly defensive.

I check out FSU, but don't post there. It upsets me that there are some posters there who aren't very kind to fans of particular skaters and make some really harsh comments about them & the skaters they admire. :disapp:

I spend lots of time at the SOI board and a few skater specific boards.

And a good question it is. This thread is fine, but we have never really addressed the question of what constitutes "bad" board-dragging. However, here are some examples that are pretty clear-cut.

1. Bashing oher boards and their administrators (our colleagues).

"Can you believe it, I just got banned from FSU. FSU? More like "FU!" The administrators there are all Nazis."

2. Carrying fights from one board to another.

"Hey a******, you just said over on Sashafans that Michelle bites. You better take that back. Sasha can't tie Michelle's boot laces!"

3. Plagerism, in the sense of copying someone else's post on another board and claiming it for your own, without attribution.

It is especially bad to copy first-hand competition results (give a link instead). Boards often pay their corrspondents for this type of reporting. Along with insightful interviews, timely original articles and up-to-date links, that is one way that boards compete with each other for membership. (Don't forget to check out the GS main page from time to time, LOL.

I actually started out on the Boards at US figure skating and ISU but I haven't been to either in a while. Then I found out about FSU and from there I found Goldenskate. I now read on FSU but I post more here. I spend much of my time at Chief Delphi (for FIRST Robotics). And that's about it.

Piel, I go to HGTV and post too but more in the crafts and sewing section. I just throw a question out and get several ideas. Those people are so helpful.

Another area of interest is the movie making discussion boards.

Golden Skate is the board I post at almost everyday but I am a member of 2 Alexei boards.

I haven't been as active here lately but I am still reading for the most part. I'm probably most active over at FSU right now (where I've definitely found my inner snark, LOL) and MKF but only in the random chat area these days (mainly the baseball thread to be specific). I do read the SOI boards everyday but that should slow down with the tour coming to a close. Jamie & David's official forum and TEMB (Todd E. board) are probably the only other skater specific boards I visit (I have for years so this isn't a new thing for me). I also check out the Unseen Skaters Forum from time to time but I don't post a lot over there either. I like keeping up on all the news about the skaters most people don't know yet, LOL I read a LOT more than I post at several of these boards right now but I think that's just because its the offseason and there's not as much to talk about at the moment. I'm sure that will change for me later in the summer though.

I mostly post at FSU (my snark is not inner!), but I also frequent a shar pei forum, where I can get very helpful health information for my pup (and get my fix of pictures of the cute smoosh-faces!! ), and on stormfans.org, a fan forum for the Seattle Storm WNBA team. I've registered and posted at a few Invasion fan sites (because TWOP doesn't recap their episodes), but they're all poorly managed, so I've kind of dropped it.

So Dee you craft and sew, what kinds of crafts? I craft, mostly floral design type things, but really prefer working with fresh flowers. Can't sew a lick. My mothere OTOH can sew anything beautifully and has made all of my drapes, bedspreads, decorative pillows and such.
