It's just words. It's senselessly to argue - it's the same to say I don't like it and that's all. Anyway some Alexeyfan will never confess his virtue. Although it's little bit strange that loving figure skating you don't appreciate this maybe the most bright talent of the male skating history.

The point is, that asking someone "who is the best"...of anything is a question about opinions not necessairly about facts. I'm not denying that Pluschenko is a great talent, or that he is a good jumper and a very consistent competitor - he gets all the props for all of those achievements...have i ever pulled out my tapes of a comeptition and watched his programs again? No i haven't, i ahev no interest in them because apart from teh jumps i don't feel there is anythign special in those programs. Many disagree with me and that's ok. I like to watch for edge quality and clean lines in skating and Pluschenko is not the best in this regard.

Plushenko is THE best skater in the world.

Weir is the second best.

No, Yagudin was the best skater in the world. Plushenko doesn't even come close to Alexei's magesty. A true Ice King.

In YOUR opinion but not in MINE.:) I think Yagudin doesn't even come close to Plush's magesty and talent. A true Ice King - Plushenko.

Johnny Weir.

I definetly agree that Plushenko is the best skater and competitor though. There is a decent number of people who state he was "overscored", but I think he earned that gold. Therefore, for now, at least, Plushenko is number one.

Johnny!!
If he possesses stronger spiritual strength from now, I think that he become stronger than Lambiel. In addition, I wish for it.

It depends - Plushenko is probably the best jumper and has that competitive mind set that keeps him at the top. He is an athletic skater.

Jeff is artistic and expressive. So, I prefer his skating over Plushenko's. Therefore, in my book - Jeff is the best.

PS - Of course Kurt is my all time favorite and wins hands down in this contest.

So in other words you concede Plushenko as clearly the best competitor in mens skating, and the most efficient at delivering the requirements, and understand why he is so dominant and wins everything; but all that being said believe there are a few other guys that are better as pure skating and enjoyment level?

plushy is not all that great!

Plushy is NOT all that great..it's the same way I feel about Kwan. She isn't THAT great, but, for some reason(probably from the Harding/Kerrigan issue), has received GOD-LIKE worship. Anyhoos, what ties the both skaters is consistency...so, I won't knock that part, and THAT is why Plushy has been the umm, "greatest". I love Sandhu, I love Weir, Lysack, and Lambiel, as well as Joubert. Anyone of these men could legitimately be the greatest male skater of this time, in the true sense of the word...like Yagudin was in his time.

Well I like that he gets credit for what he does particularly well, but not that areas he is not that exceptional in he is marked as if he is. Nobody who watches him skate can honestly say he is a master of spins, choreography, transitions, or even interpretation. Yet the judges score as if he is. Even his footwork, while excellent I find overrated to an extent, only in that the greatest foowork guys of the last 5-6 years like Yagudin, Browning, even Stojko did their footwork all as a unit, while Plushenko's is broken down into different segments for each part of the body, not working in any kind of cohesion I find.
