Oh yes (how could I have forgotten duh) Juulia and Matthias are my favorites too
. I was so heartbroken when I thought they didn't qualify for the free dance. I was hoping to see their tango free dance in person and was so happy when I saw their names on the schedule for the free dance the next morning (sorry Allison & Saulius) - dream came true.

I was so upset when it took us so long to get into the Garden that we missed their tango free dance. Grrr. It's such a brilliant program. I saw them in Switzerland at Stephane Lambiel's ice show, and they were amazing! I had a seat ON the ice so really got to see them up close and personal. Men: Mikhail Shaidorov. He's not the finished thing yet, but has huge potential and I like how he is developing. We need more skaters who aren't afraid of being themselves on the ice.
Ladies: this is very close between Kaori Sakamoto, Chaeyeon Kim and Amber Glenn. All three are willing to be individuals. If I really have to choose just one, then Chaeyeon gets it this season because of her SP.
Pairs: Hase and Volodin
Ice dance: This is my least favourite discipline and I seem to have the wrong preferences. I tend to struggle a bit with the exaggerated performance style which is expected in ice dance. LaLa are the highest ranked team I actually like.
Ladies: this is very close between Kaori Sakamoto, Chaeyeon Kim and Amber Glenn. All three are willing to be individuals. If I really have to choose just one, then Chaeyeon gets it this season because of her SP.

I refuse to restrain to just one skater:
Men: Adam S., Kevin, Jason, honorable mentions: Donovan, Kornel Witkowski, Jari Kessler
Women: Kaori, Alysa, Katia K., honorable mentions: Tara P., Niina P., all the non-existent feds junior girls who don't have any tripples in their programs but go to the other side of the world, step on ice and are so fierce and brave performing
Pairs: Ioulia/Michał (I will love them forever for bringing back the thrill I had as a teenager watching Siudeks compete), R/R, Conti/Macci (she is so very brave, Niccolo had hard time during one of GPs, the lifts were so scary and she was so perfectly calm and comforted him afterwards), honorable mentions: Deanna/Max, Miniki (I was sceptic, now I love them)
Dance: Charlene/Marco (mostly Charlene, she could run crossovers on ice for an hour and I would still watch it in awe, but Marco is also impressive, there is very little height difference), Juulia/Mathias, Olivia/Tim, honorable mentions: Piper/Paul, Emilea/Vadim
