Can I ask how you were able to exchange your old gala ticket? I've been trying to call Ticket Master all day to do this but it's been busy each time. Is there another way?

I had posted the information earlier in this thread, but I can't seem to find it easily on my phone. If you check the Refund/Exchange policy link at the bottom of the Ticketmaster page, I'm not sure if there was any other way other than calling customer service.

You're welcome! I didn't realize you were staying at La Quinta, though I should have known since you mentioned Somerville. There aren't that many hotels there. The hotel does have an airport shuttle if you need to use it.

The only way that I know of is to call the number. It was busy for me as well but I got lucky and got thru. I was on hold for at least 20 min though. Once I talked to a person I just had to tell him the seat I wanted, I was looking at the map while talking to him so it was easy to find one. I do think they are only on the phones for certain hours though. Hope it helps! Not sure but maybe a request could be made via email in the contact us section of the ticketmaster page?

No it doesn't have to be within 72 hours to exchange. To return I think it does but not exchange.

Thats darn nice of them! I am also impressed that there is a shuttle to the Copely T station for five bucks from the airport. Anyone wanting to save a bunch of money and can stand a continental breakfast (for free) should look int the LaQuinta at Somerville.....I am staying at the Westin so Mrs. P can take care of me.....

At this point we only have tickets for SD, FD, and men's SP, but are very glad to be going at all.

Good for you! It will be good to see you two again. I have a reservation there but since I made it into the Westin I will give it up. My Hotel at Worlds London Ontario was flooded out before I got there and they were going to ship us out to some far away place but luckily got enough rooms operational for the event. So I am paranoid about giving up the LaQuinta. That and I thought I would just spend Sunday night there and maybe catch the Gala if Miki showed up again like she did at the GP final

My guess is that it will be in front of Loge 20 and 19, near the kiss and cry, unless they enter and exit by separate gates as sometimes happens.

Just got tix for the men's FS! Can anyone tell me if the event starts at 6:45, then what time I'm expected to start lining up to get in? And how's security there? If I have a carry-on tote coming straight from the airport will that be alright?

No, a tote won't be okay. The arena site says:

Bags, backpacks, luggage, laptops, coolers, parcels, briefcases and like articles will be strictly prohibited from the TD Garden. All guests will be subject to search, at the discretion of TD Garden staff, of their person and/or possessions (including laptops and women’s handbags of normal size that may be allowed entry after such search). Patrons with prohibited articles will be turned away at the entrances and no storage or “check area” will be provided for such items. The TD Garden site also says:

That's a bummer, since I'm staying at a friend's house some distance away from Boston and was hoping I didn't have to go to her house and then back to the rink in Boston. I should ship my clothes there in advance and travel hands free haha.

But you know, that rule they have seems contradictory. First they include laptops as one of the prohibited items. Then they say after search, laptops may be allowed. -_- not that I'm planning on bringing one.

Well, I have never been there (perhaps some who have could chip in), but if it could be classed as one of 'women's handbags of normal size' then it will be okay whilst if it is a 'backpack' or 'luggage' it won't.
