They were absolutely fabulous both days! I expected everything but not two almost flawless skates. They only had a q on the combo, and there were some problems with the level on the twist. They left all their mistakes in small competitions to be great in a big one. It's especially pleasing that Yasmina showed such performance in her hometown. Valera joked that her relatives were everywhere in the stands. Also, the new SP dress is nice.

By the way, Yasmina's little sister made her junior debut here. She definitely was a highlight of the short program:

Yasya and Valera have skated their second stage. Unfortunately, this time they lost to Artemieva/Briukhanov. He fell on the loop in the short, they messed up the throw in the free. The throw looked like a fluke, transitional short lift was shaky and she didn't manage to prepare. In everything else, they are clearly improving. The twists got level three this time. If Yasya works on her split position, it will be level four soon. There're small changes in the free program, I noticed more transitions. In general I like their free skating very much, one of the best of this season.

Riana also had her second stage there. She was far from making it to JNats, but she's just 12. She has time to improve. Her FS was better.

Valera's 3Lo looks better. The twist is also better, although there's still no split position. I love the new lift and spin exit.
