Young must really love musical theater. That, or her coaches do. First her Funny Girl SP from last year, and now this year her SP is from the soundtrack of the Addams Family musical, her free is My Fair Lady, and her exhibition is Chicago. A girl after my own heart :luv17:

Congrats to You! She was really great in the SP, much better than last time I watched her skate that program(can’t remember when that was though). Her jumps looked really good! Impressive 2A, just enormous! I hope she goes for the 3A in the Free Skate.

Just saw the protocols for the SP. It wasn’t exactly clean... She got UR call on the toe of the 3Lz3T combo and she got a ! on the flip. Nonetheless it was a very good skate! I loved it! She looked very confident.
I hope she doesn’t have any mistakes in the long. She can medal here if she goes clean.

So happy for her podium finish. Last season for me was a bit disappointing as her skating seemed to have gone a bit backwards (probably hindered by her growth spurt). But now she looks much more comfortable in herself. Nice to see her perform very well.

exactly and she seems so satisfied with her performance too! she was so happy after her FS despite her mistakes, she was all smiles on the podium! she must be happy to have landed all her jumps even of not properly. This should be a great motivation. her 3A looked really beautiful in practice, i'm hopeful we can see it in competition, maybe not now but when her team decides she's ready.

Yess, she did well overall. She was so charismatic at the beginning (I was actually shook omg) but later on after mistake her performance level dropped I really liked StSq and her 2A is so good too, I wonder when she will go for that 3A. She's still has a big chance for medal, hopefully she will deliver good free

It's interesting that she returned to her previous FP at Bavarian Open (which I love by the way, so it was nice surprise to see her as a pirat again). Great performance both in SP and FP. Her jumps were huge and spins were really fast. Score 195.50 is quite promising for Junior Worlds .

Young will be old enough for seniors next season, no? It'll be very exciting to see her (and Yelim too, hopefully) competing in the big leagues. Even before I knew anything about figure skating I'd heard of Young through her Nationals win (... or did I? faulty memory here). PS have a great Junior Worlds, Young!!
