Your favorite program of all time?

Oh gosh, I would be posting for days about all the programs that are my faves! Here are just a few....

Pairs:
Jamie & David "Tristan and Isolde" LP, "Come Rain or Come Shine" SP, "For You" Exh. (I also love "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" and "Who Wants to Live Forever" but then again, I tend to love anything that they perform, LOL)
Langlois & Archetto "Leyenda" SP
Evora & Ladwig "Butterfly Suite" LP (This team has SOOOO much potential! )

Dance:
Bourne & Kraatz "Riverdance"

Mens:
Todd Eldredge "Glory", "First Knight"
Ryan Jahnke "Cinderella" LP, "Lord's Prayer" Exh

Ladies:
Michelle Kwan "Rachmaninoff" SP 98, "Salome" LP, "Spartacus" SP, "Red Violin" LP, "Fields of Gold" Exh (again, like J&D, I tend to like just about everything she does, LOL)
Angela Nikodinov "Giselle" LP
Jenny Kirk "Chicago" SP

Ahh, I could go on all day but I am at work and should probably get some actual work done today. :agree:

Speaking of just programs, I'll go with:

Michelle Kwan: Miraculous Mandarin, The Red Violin, Ariane
Kristina Czako: The Addams Family 97 LP
Ilia Klimkin: Dr. Diesel
Jeff Buttle: This years LP Naqoygatsi (sp?)
Vanessa Gursmeroli: The Mask 97 sp
Kristi Yamaguchi: Malaguena 92 LP (sooo difficult, incredible)

Best performances

Kwan: Salome, Romanza, Aranjuez, Fields of Gold, East of Eden exhbition
Julia S.: Tango from last year at Europeans and Worlds
Anissina/Peizerat: Romeo and Juliet, Flamenco OD from 02
Krylova/Ovsianakov: Masquerade Waltz
B/S: City Lights, Olympic sp
John Curry: Don Quixote
Tonya Harding: Her winning LP (Send in the Clowns) when she landed her 3 axel at Nats
YeBin Mok: The Swan 03 sp

Wow! I love these choices!
Harding's LP also included a section to Wild Thing by Tone Loc. (Love her for that)

Buttle's Naqoyqatsi is the best choreography I have seen in a long time. He has invested so much in presenting it this season, and he has been criticized for not spending more time on the quad. I can't wait to see how it plays out with the judges at worlds.

I'm glad to see that there are others out there who liked Krisztina Csako's "Addams Family" program (truly one of the most clever long programs I have seen in "eligible" competition)

I agree - Czako was one of a kind. I wish her career had lasted longer.

I also liked Fumie's Fade to Black SP and Lisa Matras Fried Green Tomatoes LP.

I loved Kurt's Brick House but also Robin Cousins had one in a pro comp that I loved. It was some kind of dance tune and it was the last time I think he won gold at a pro comp. I wish I could remember what it was.

Sarah Hughes "Daphnis et Chloe"
Sasha Cohen "Sentimental Waltz"
Scott Hamilton SOI '00 "Don Quixote"
Tanith Belbin/Ben Agosto "Elvis Medley"
Jamie Sale/David Pelletier "Love Story" and "Tristan and Isodole"

I guess I'm a "Don Quixote" lover because the 2 programs that stand out in my mind over the past few decades are John Curry's LP & Klimova & Ponomorenko's exhibition of the ballet dancers warming up, performing & leaving the "stage" knowing they had done well.

The Addams Family - Ilia Kulik sp 1995-1996
A House Is Not A Home - Ilia Kulik in Burt Bacharach Tribute 2003
Liebestraume - Ilia Kulik "The Art of Russian Skating" 1997

Turandot - Shen & Zhao fs 2003-2004
Many programmes from G & G

Turandot - Shizuka Arakawa fs in 2003-2004
Malaguena - Sasha Cohen sp in 2003-2004
Stella Errans and Awakening - Ekaterina Gordeeva 2003 and 2004-2005

Bolero - Torvill & Dean 1984 Olympics
Arabian Dance - Gritschuk & Platov freedance 1996-1997

Was it "Satan Takes A Holiday" ?
He wore grey/tan pants and a white shirt and he had suspenders and *Sparkly* shoes... it is an awesome program with "tap dancing"... kicked Scott's butt with it several times

Kwan- Rach SP 1998, EOE exhibition, Salome
K&O - Malaguena
Kurt - Brick House

I'm probably gonna get cremated for this one but I really loved to watch B&K's Riverdance - especially up until the Olympics. They really seemed to love doing it.

Others....
Of course Torville & Dean's Bolero
Some of Slutskaya's really early stuff (back when she was 16 and just emerging on the world stage - she was SO sweet and innocent to watch and WOW those jumps
Elvis's Drums short program

I like Riverdance too... I don't think you'll get too many people upset with that choice :)
