Yulia Lipnitskaya

I can't vouch for this info but from what I read in the comments section on Elena Vaitsekhovskaya blog + Russian forums, it seems that Yulia has been for some time learning a language (not specified which) and has now entered the Moscow State Uni to study on a full-time basis, the speculations were that it is either linguistic or journalism department but no evidence of any kind. The only word from Yulia directly as far as I am aware was when she refused (replying to a phone call from a news agency) either to confirm or contradict the statement made by her mother. This is rather puzzling as it may imply that her mother was acting without her permission? :scratch2:

Yulia learns English language. About Moscow State Uni information is not confirmed yet.

I wonder if the statement will be published...

On another subject, she looks so good, I'm really glad she sought help <3

So nice to see her and I too think she looks great :o:

Has to be a tough day for our little Sunny....I hope she stays tough and feels the love that's certainly surrounding her. This kid found her way into so many hearts.

Aww.... she's retiring??? so saaaaaaaadddd.... I was really looking forward to watch her skate again... I'll remember Yulia as the skater with the best best spin and grace amongst the Russians. Tough luck with injuries but really loved her. I only wish we could've seen her FS last year in full. :sad4:

She really looks at ease in that picture which is great to see. And I renew my argument that she has blue eyes :drama:

Exert from Yulia's wiki page
"According to Piseyev (Honorary President of the Russian Figure Skating Federation), while Lipnitskaya had retired from competitive figure skating, she is still involved in the sport and plans to participate in exhibitions." They link this https://rsport.ria.ru/figure_skating/20170828/1124943763.html which doesn't refer to exhibitions, and I'm confused as to where this quote is.

Great to read that, she's a bright strong girl, with a good head on her shoulders. It sounds like she is fully at peace with her decision to retire and is excited for new challenges.

Even through google translate...that was FIERCE!!!!! That's our girl right there! Zero BS, serving everyone some realness.:rock:
