Yulia Lipnitskaya

Even though the nature of the travel was clearly at the president's convenience, they were not willing to appear to have accepted a flight as a gift from a political figure.

That's my point too. I mean, I would feel embarrassed even to ask for such things. Let alone discussing and complaining about it in social media.
Besides, why is this her fault? I'm sure the journalists had the agreed terms in advance with her manager, or whoever was there to deal with. I hope he didn't asked her to pay, did he?

I hope Yulia is taking notes. Something tells me she has the makings of a great best seller tell all in a few years.

p.s. Don't worry Roman. I'm not that good in english myself. ;) It's just that I didn't get the meaning at first. :)

No, he wrotes that he just asked her to pay for him (first for coffee, then for dinner) "Я попросил заплатить за кофе, а Юля отказалась" (I asked to pay for coffee but Yulia refused), then "Я еще попросил заплатить за обед. Но, мне кажется, тоже разумная просьба"(I also asked her to pay for diinner. It seems to me it is also a reasonable request)

This sounds like a complete mess. A journalist doesn't want to publish an interview because of unpaid coffee bill? SUCH A NONSENSE I just can't believe it. It looks fake to me.

Is it the same guy? It looked different to me.

I think these are two different interviews. The one that got cancelled was for Chempionat.com e-zine. The video snippet was from the TV interview for the Russia-2 channel.

Yep, that's what I thought. Good, so we can see the interview for Russia-2. :yay:

No, officially he writes that he won't publish interview because of that Lipnitskaya's team forbade to publish important part of the text, and it is most probably a true. But perhaps the offense for an uneaten or unpaid lunch is dragged in here

"Я еще попросил заплатить за обед" translates as: "I also asked to be paid for the dinner".

Anyway, those people are hyenas. A skater has to have nerves of steel to live there.

I think Evgeny is just being sarcastic in a Russian way :rolleye:
It must be it. I can't imagine grown-up man expecting and then keeping resentment towards 16yo girl who refused to pay for his coffee and lunch. Anyway, it's written in quite serious manner, so maybe it's kinda "inside joke" between him and his facebook friends. Weird.

I'm always wondering if people here realize how many of my posts are joking around. If taken literal some of my posts would leave people

Thank god for  and  emoticons!!!

I'll give the guy the benefit of the doubt and assume its a joke. Besides...maybe he just wanted to see her death glare in person.

These reactions are a good example of the mass hysteria surrounding anything Yulia says or does that reaches the public. Even we the faithful can become part of her problem.

I really do hope so because asking for a coffee first, and the reply is no. Then, you ask for a dinner...:rolleye: it really sounds ridiculous.

Nevertheless, he should know better and not discuss like this in public. Yulia has fans from all around the world, and we don't know russian. Google translation makes things even worse, and these things go viral in a second.

I don't know what's odd about this question to make it being cut. A normal question. For example, many of the best Serbian tennis players in their childhoods trained inside an empty swimming pool. And they have no problem talking about it now...

Are you joke? Ekaterinburg is a millionaire city, there are many ice palaces in it, why Yulia must go to a pond, wich has "thin ice", i.e. with the risk for her life?
