Maybe I'm wrong...and maybe I'm just a product of Western Culture but I really didn't think it was all that sexually charged. As someone said earlier Yulia is a bit shy about it and the whole thing seemed innocent enough to my eyes?

When is the last time she threw in a 2a during an exhibition?

Those of you who don't live in the US might not know that drama gets turned up to 11 in the media no matter where it comes from. I follow Eteri's group closely and have read through all of the Ask's and can say that what Tara said was not true. Do I think Tara approached Eteri and asked her about Zhenya and Yulia? Yes. Do I think what Eteri told Tara was word for word what Tara spewed on the air? Absolutely not. It made me laugh and lose a lot of respect for Tara. Here is what is fact straight from the people who skate alongside Yulia and Evgenia: They communicate nicely with each other and they don't hate each other. That's it. No they are not friends but they certainly don't act toxic towards each other.

Diana did indeed say that Yulia wasn't ready for the season but you can easily figure out why. Yulia said in an interview that she almost lost a month of practice time over the summer due to illness and injury. There you go.

It reminds me of NBC and Aliya Mustafina, the gymnast. They took an actual kernel of truth, her coach saying she has a "difficult personality," by which he means she is driven and knows what she wants, and they turned up the drama dial into Mustafina is a diva b*tch who treats her coach horribly and is an overall terror to work with. NBC is KNOWN for that. I think there's probably a kernel of truth in what Tara said too, but I strongly suspect it was played up for laughs and drama.

I don´t like the program, I guess you are speaking about the song because I don´t understand a word of the lyrics and her movements are not sexual at all. Anyway, Yulia needs a sport psychologist, yes, her body is changing but the main problem is mental, I am sure.

17yo is not a child. In any culture, country, planet, universe and time in history.

Where did that story come from? I've never read anywhere where either girl spoke about each other.

I feel the dislike for Averbukh comes from the fact that he can't help but try and tear down a 16-17 year old, and she is the one who at least publicly has been very professional regarding their relationship. Like you said someone on Yulia's team didn't want her to continue to work with Averbukh, a decision that happens all the time in figure skating, but he seems to act like it's the first time in history a skater decided to go with another choreographer and that by her doing that it was some massive personal insult to him that she is getting routines choreographed by someone else - I believe she made comments that maybe some time in the future they would work together again, but right now a change was needed or something like that.

This. How he is acting is unprofessional and truly bizarre. As has been said, Julia has never said a negative word about him in public, but he seems to have made it his life mission to bash her at every opportunity.

Yeah, sorry to those who disagree but 17 year olds are sexual beings with sexual feelings. Some magic sexual switch doesn't turn on magically only once someone is 18 or something. In any case the program isn't so sexy Imo anyway but even if it was, I do think age is old enough for that to be okay, at least to some degree.

Here's the story:
I was sitting front row right where the skaters enter the rink. So I already saw her up-close a few times...So after she did her free skate I thought she was going to go back to her hotel and rest and that was it for me (I didn't go to the EX today. I went to Notre Dame and tomorrow U-M to check it out).

So Free Dance started 3 hours later, and who shows up? YULIA and a few others...but YULIA. I was thinking about approaching them, but they were there to enjoy the event like the rest of us, so it was better to just let them be. But still so cool! Now here's the interesting part:

There was the standard huge screen in the middle of the arena, and there were smaller screens at each corner...So "coincidentally" I was looking at the screen right over my view of YULIA (it was clear I wasn't staring). And I SWEAR TO GOD, as I was looking down, I took a quick peak and SHE WAS LOOKING DEAD AT ME. I FREAKED THE HELL OUT AND casually looked back at the middle screen. Not only that, but it kinda happened A COUPLE OF TIMES. I HONESTLY NEVER FELT MORE PANICKED.

Yup! Go Blue! If I did that, she'd probably think I was some weirdo/stalker person. A normal person might have waved. I just sat there pretending like my crush wasn't 30 feet away from me...
