Yulia Lipnitskaya

I think in one of the interviews it was mentioned that they also have a dacha outside Moscow, so it might be that as well. Or, it could be Yekaterinburg indeed. She said in her Ask that this is where she spends summers.

I just stumbled upon this score from Peter Pan. When I heard it, I immediately thought of Yulia. :) I think this will be a great music for one of her programs. It suits her especially the intro. :)

Though a little bit late  (and though people seem to be doing well with google translator as well, as the questions and answers are relatively short) - but I finally got round to translating at least some Yulia's answers from her ask - which I especially liked and which, I think, have not been quoted here yet...

- What is your favourite New Year salad?
- The Olivier salad.

- Does Chopa live in Moscow, or have you taken her with you to Sochi? And where is Persik?
- Chopa is in Moscow, and Persik is now the "Ekaterinburg guard-dog", guards my grandma)))

- The cat has eased out the dog, and now Persik is away, so sad... Dogs, they get used to people, to the place... I always take my dog everywhere...
- He got attached to my grandma, when she was living with us. So, when she left she took Persik with her. Don't be sad about him, he is rather her dog now...

- Do you like snow?
- Yes, it's tasty :)

- Where have you found that lion?
- Took a one-hour trip to Africa :)

- When you marry, will you change your surname?
- I think I won't...

- Concerning animals... are there any animals which you don't like? Are you afraid of mice, for example?
- I can't say I like reptiles too much... I don't like rats.

- Would you like to have a racoon?
- A red panda.

- Have you ever tried to be a vegetarian?
- Once, for almost four months, it was easy enough.

- Do you like hedgehogs?
- I even tried to tame one...

- Have you ever been fighting?
- Yes, I have...

- If you were a guy, would you go to the army? If yes, to which branch?
- If I were, then I would bother to think about it...

- The first thing that comes to your mind at hearing the word 'Moscow'?
- Traffic jams.

- Hurdle-racing or haute-ecole? Or trick-riding?
- Riding at large, to the fields, far away and for long...

- Do you like pelmeni?
- I'm a Ural girl, of course I like pelmeni :) But I shouldn't eat them.

- What is your favourite element (apart from "a performed one":))?
- The final pose)

- Are you orthodox (christian)? If so, why aren't there any photos of you at the church?
- Probably because people go to church not for taking photos?

- How to become a confident person?
- I'd like to know that, too...

- What happened with that cute panda, that was given to you in Bordeaux? Did you manage to bring it home (given all the cirumstances)?

Yulia is in the city of Yoshkar-Ola now. (For training, maybe?.. There are hints about it in her ask - though I've never heard about any training bases in Yoshkar-Ola... :scratch2: )

Judging by the discussion in her ask, Yulia is a bit ill now (food poisoning). Poor dear :(

I have to say that I am not a biggest fan of Yulia (I have a general headcase with Russian ladies/more with girls trying too hard to be ladies) but something has changed since Russian Nationals...

Her SP, performed so flawlessly, with great energy, good attack and a hint of sophistication (mainly due to A-MA-ZING styling, that hairstyle on her is everything) presented her to me in entirely different light - maybe because I couldn't imagine her skating to music like Elvis and was a bit apprehensive. But then - she really is a great talent with loads of potential to tackle various types of music/programs I think.

Also, she seemed a lot happier, more free, more exuberant while performing - it was really special to see her youth, energy mixed with that 'sophisticated lady' appearance and Elvis music.

We'll see if/how her jumping technique would improve under coach Urmanov - I hope he'll give her time, attention and advice she needs along with right motivation and real aims to achieve.

Just my few cents here, in fan thread :)

There is a planned training camp there with Kudryavtsev: http://www.tdfk.ru/news/2449/
Urmanov's group is attending it.

Yes, indeed. Here is about it from her Ask:

Q: What is your favorite drink?
A: Rehydron

Q: Yul', I had a dream about you coming to me on my birthday :) and refusing to eat sushi and rolls :( Would you also not eat them in real life?
A: Right now I think I'd refuse to even smell them.

Q: Yulia, what, did you get a food poisoning from local cuisine?
A: Bingo!

Q: When having a stomach virus doctors recommend drinking a glass of Coca-Cola. It's tastier and more effective then Reydron.
A: I'm actually willing to consider it.

Q: People, what Cola are you talking about, have mercy on Yulia... Manganese, and Phosphalugel afterwards.
A: I'm writing it all down!

Q: Yulia, don't listen to them. You should take activated charcoal. One pill for 10 kilo's of weight.
A: ...

Q: Dare you to tell her about activated charcoal.
A: ...

Q: Rough fibers are good for stomach during poisonings, and they'll get all the filth out of it, and out of the organism too.
A: Will a towel do? I'll chew on one a bit before going to sleep.

Q: You are all crazy, the last thing she needs is a manganese. If the poisoning is fresh so to speak, she needs to cleanse her stomach (a liter of distilled water at room temperature plus a spoon of baking soda, drink it all in one shot) Smekta afterwards, and if there is a nausea, then Motilum and Rehydron.
A:

Q: Yulia, you must stop this thing! Otherwise you will have the entire pharmaceutics catalog dumped in your Ask.
A: Let it be, at least this way Ask is good for something

Q: At least tell how did you got the poisoning.
A: From a soup :rolleye:

borzaya and geiger. Thank you so much for the translation from Ask.

They are priceless and she makes me laugh sooooooooo much. She's very witty and I love that in people.

Oh my, these people have no idea what they're talking about...Yulia shouldn't listen to them or she might end up in the ER....

I thinks she knows that, and I also think she's got all the necessary medical attention, but people's concern for her is as endearing as it is funny at times :)

You are welcome :) I especially loved the one about the towel

The Cola stuff is right, though. One of my friends got food poisoning recently and he got a glass a cola, among yogourt and rest. Though, it was necessary to spin a spoon in the cola to get rid of as much gas as possible.
But yes, Yulia doesn't need all those advices, she knows that real doctors are the ones who know best. :)
