Yulia Lipnitskaya

Some of the jumps look really good especially the tano triple flip, but am I still the only one who thinks it's crazy that Yulia is never doing a double toe on the first triple lutz? Even if she lands the second which she hasn't yet she would be reducing the value of that triple lutz by 30 percent. The fact that she's fallen on it in the last two competitions is costing her a ton of points. Even a single toe on the first triple lutz would have given her the gold at RCF if I calculated correctly.

What she's done do far to come back is nothing short of amazing, and her skating is so incredibly rich now, but I hate to see an error in logic costing points. Plus if the second one is planned to be in combination, she has more pressure going into it if they are paying attention to the fact that she needs a double toe on it. And so much more pressure on a triple jump so far through the program seems to be a bad idea.

I keep seeing Adidas commercials for the "Here to Create" campaign. I'd die if I ever saw Yulia's on my TV. We need to keep watching the video to up her views :)

Actually...Yulia's "Here to Create" video over on Adidas Russia's channel has over 2 million views so far. Not that youtube views for ads are all that accurate or depended on popularity, as these 30sec ads are normally played before youtube vids as default depending on where you're located, so it makes sense that Adidas main english language channel wouldn't be sharing an ad (in russian) with their targeted english-language youtube demographic.

Probably the last time we'll see Devil in Disguise  That program really grew on me too!

Congrats, Yulia.

Does anyone else think that was very underscored? Or was there a technical mistake I didn't catch? The PCS seems very low, too. I was thinking about that yesterday, about whether Yulia's score would be lower than it should because it's a 'b" competition and she skated in the very first group. Does anyone know?
