Yulia Lipnitskaya

Frankly speaking this is not the whole story from Borzaya. To be more accurate everything were like that. We, fans, were speaking with each other in chat during broadcasting in OK. And Denis sometimes conversates with us, the viewers. And one of us blurted out that probably inept joke. It wasn't Denis who invented this, he just repeated in live, which perhaps wasn't polite or wise. Anyway, none of us, of course didn't mean any offensive and didn't want to make this grief more than it was already. To be brief - "take it easy" (I just love this phrase since Donny Brasco's first reviewing). -)) We cool.

Has she been covering the GP Final?

ETA: I went to her VK and see she is covering it on Telesport again but I can’t find videos yet. :curse:

We really do need to learn Russian guys. :hap85:

God, I still miss her so very much.:( I was watching last night that beautiful SP in Moscow and I think I had a tear or two. :sad21: I was so hopeful when I first watched it.

What a beautiful skater.:luv17: She might not have been the best in everything but she had elegance, grace, poise and effortless in her skating. She had a certain quality to her that I just can't put a name to it. She had "something", that something that draws you in.

And let's not forget flexibility in a class of its own. I haven't seen anyone come even close to her spin positions such as the biellmann and broken leg spins!

Well, you know, she kinda helped me, as I remember correctly. =) But anyway, actually it was quite easy task given the map. However it was my first voyage abroad. I will gladly help with Russian, with everything I can.

Hope you liked it. :)

And thank you for all the info./translation you do for us guys. :)

A bit late, but better late than never :) A few words from Yulia about pairs on GPF.
SP.
Y/Z. Yulia noticed that they were much more confident on GPs, but liked them and paid attention to the high quality of the elements (except for the mistake on the jump)
S/K. That rare time when Yulia said something during the performance  . She said that they looked pretty good, as always, and that the program was difficult in performing it.
D/R. Yulia regretted that they skated with mistakes as well as the previous pairs and supposed that nerves or fatigue could be the reason.
S/M. Before their skating Yulia said that she knew that they had changed their SP, and hoped that "if they feel themselves confident with this program, then let it be. Although their SP of this season was nice as well. Maybe we'll see this program later in this season". After the end of the program: "Despite this is last-year program, it is so cool! So many findings, schticks, wow, that's amazing! This program just makes us smile".
S/H. Before the program "We're going to turn off the microphones now, because Max <...> is really emotional over them; wish them good luck". After the end of the program: "You know, after the fall from the triple toe we cried in unison that this cannot happen and "are they humans as well? seriously?". It was so unexpected! We got used that their skating is a peak of human's abilities, perfect skating without mistakes, each element is done on the highest level, so this was really unexpected. I guess the fact that this season is Oly-season can be the reason. <...> This fall means that there will be a fight in the FP. If they skated clean today, it would be evident that after FP they would be the first with high scores <...> Their program is amazing, and we already said this before"

I really like Yulia's commentary (although miss her on ice), but when I hear Max, I want to turn the sound off quite often :( Not really proper pronounciation of the names and many words about "powerful Mozer".

FP.
Y/Z. They made a very good showing, as well as they did yesterday. The only mistakes on the previous events were on jumps, they have absolutely no problems on the other elements. *Max, stop telling deceptive information! This is not their first season as a team and not the first GP Final*
S/K. Unfortunately, there were a lot of small mistakes, offensive fall from salchow jump. Anyway, the guys did great job, fought till the end of the program. Their FP is beautiful, suits them much. I consider it one of the best FP of the season. It seems like they were nervous, especially at the beginning of the program, especially Ksusha. Wish them good luck, strong nerves and patience.
S/H. They have a beautiful FP, "Turandot". *right after the program Max said so many positive words about them, that he almost gave no time for Yulia to speak* Looks like they control themselves on jumps much more after yesterday mistake, but it should pass off in several training sessions.
S/M. Bravo, bravo! I guess, they are the winners today. There were almost no mistakes, especially on the jumps. Very stylish pair, Aljona has a very nice dress. We are really happy for them. *and again, lots of positive words from Max*

Thanks! :thank: Nothing about Tarasova/Morozov programs though?
Oh, I skipped them, sorry.

In SP Yulia paid special attention to their throw jump, it's quality and especially height, and praised Evgenia that she fought for the jump. In FP she liked the quad twist ("looks like it was triple one"). She supposed that their free program was choreographed for clean skating only – "the music is so rapid and so joyful, that they should do everything perfect".

Did she change the spelling of her name on Instagram back to Julia :gaah:

She’s already interesting enough without all the transliteration madness
