I always forget how intense she was as a super youngster. So much attack for a Gala. Ithat music selection and would second it for a future program :yes: She has grown in so many ways in just a few years. I can't wait to see what she brings this year.
but her sp & lp were nicely done with no falls at that competition. wonder why she had so many problems with the gala

After she does her layback candle spin she goes directly into her Choreographed Sequence. It's the Ina Bauer where she extends her arms and then goes into her gorgeous spiral. Then she performs her final spin. Here is an interpretation I read of it that I found.
As she performs her Ina Bauer and her arms extend she is representing a child surrendering to impending doom and accepting it as fate but the child finds strength enough to recover and carry on searching one last time for their mothers love and reaches out and pulls in trying to remember their mothers last embrace(the spiral where she pulls into her heart). After this last attempt fails she surrenders (hits breaks with her arms up) and takes her last breath(the final spin) and gives one last heartbreaking look before the end. The little girl has run out of time and has nowhere else to run.
It's the entire last minute of Schindlers List from 3:50-4:50 exactly in this video.

Then I went and found this which has already been posted here before too by me no less and probably along with others 
It is The Moscow version of SL where I believe she skated her best exhibition of the summer. I still get nervous when she is doing triples by the piano for obvious reasons

I hope it's a sign of things to come. We can discuss performances from the perspective of skating, music, and/or story. If the composer does his job, then music alone represents the story completely. I think her SL is more often an interpretation of music than a depiction of the story, although there are many cases where she interprets both music and narrative together, such as the baby sequence. Her ability to express meaning on multiple levels is unique.
As for some of papa's examples in post 1293 above: 1. grabbing her head occurs at a partial cadence; the same gesture (modified into hitting the head, later in the season further modified into hitting the head twice) occurs later at the same partial cadence structure (at 2:17 in the Canada video supplied by Sam in post 1292). I'm not sure what narrative might be read into the music at these two points, but her consistency is very musical and expressive.
Papa's final example (the dropping hand with a flourish) belongs to the group of dropping hands gestures, the most elaborate of which is Sam's "Ina Bauer" moment (both arms in the air) at the climax of the music. All these are related because they occur when there is a wide interval in the melody. The narrative Sam supplied is interesting--does it extend to other moments when she also drops her hand?
There is lots of opportunity for reading a story line into her interpretation of the music. For example, the last spin where she drops from standing to kneeling positions, and then rises in wonderful interpretation of the music, could be interpreted to represent death (falling) and then resurrection (rising spin). Artistic content on many levels is what separates Yulia from other skaters in terms of depth and interest.

The latest post in Yulia's official vk community says that SP is completed and Yulia is very happy with it. But they still can't decide what music and theme should they use for new LP. So they are asking fans for their ideas. Anybody can post their wishes (you can describe concept of the program, maybe even add some pictures or videos, but first of all you should attach audiotrack to skate to) in this topic.
