Yulia Lipnitskaya

I think the music choice is not bad though, it's not dramatic but it has some nostalgic feelings. Interesting, but I don't know if this music fits Yulia, though.

Yes it does, it's airy. It's not a great music, but if the choreo is good it can help a lot to improve and show the fluidity of the skating.
Is this suppose to be the FS or the SP?

I think that "Primavera" by Ludovico Einaudi is a better choice because it has a change of character in it and those "moody" moments are amazing for a great FSS or spins. But again- it's up to the team.
I also think that Primavera is a good melody for a dance pair.

If it is true then it is again a movie soundtrack and haunting music. I wish she would try something totally different this year to make a change from SL.
Having said that I could see Julia as a little mermaid from Russian movie of 1976 - haunting music again! But she even looks like a girl in the movie

I think this music could suit Julia at a younger age though. She might seem a cute little girl but she's 16, she's not going to portray someone younger anymore. Just my thoughts, anyways.

though a fairy tale it is essentially a love story, so I think 16 is just about right

Definitely not. I listened to the whole soundtrack and Fly is the only one that would really fit a skating program and her style.

I'm not a great fan of Einaudi's music and if this is the piece I find it a bit monotonous and gloomy :ohwell: But I can't say anything till I watch the final job and I'm feeling confident.
That's exactly what I thought - beautiful but isn't it a little bit too monotonus for skating? :rolleye:
I disagree that it's gloomy though - I hear hope, freedom and lightness in it.
It's named "Fly" after all. ;)

As a side note I've been thinking lately how much I'm going to miss seeing her scribble hearts on the ice and then smile to the sky...beaming with hope.

I don't know if it was posted or not. Good news, I guess.
Rough translation.
Olympic figure skating champion Yulia Lipnitskaya has chosen music without vocals for her programs for the new season. However, as Etery Tutberidze said in an interview to ITAR-TASS, it does not mean that nothing will change before the test skate, which will be held in late August in Novogorsk.
Lipnitskaya will miss the first start of the season, if she'll not prepare her new program in time.
"Yulia stopped in this version [she talks about music choice] for now, though it's possible to use music with vocal accompaniment this season, - says Tutberidze. - But this does not mean that nothing will change before test skate in August."
At the start of October, the Grand Prix of Figure Skating will be attended by three athletes from Tutberidze's group - Lipnitskaya, Voronov and Pitkeev.
Julia Lipnitskaya asked for help from the fans in the selection of music for her free program.
"Currently, the program is almost ready only for Yulia. As for my group of athletes Sergei Voronov and Adyan Pitkeev, we are still working on the programs - the coach said. - The most exciting event would be, of course, for Adyan. Because Sergei and Yulia are much more experienced. This season will be a transition fro 16 yo Pitkeev. Yes, in the past he was a silver medalist in the World Junior and Junior Grand Prix Final. But in this season he has to compete with older skaters, and a transition like this is always complex and inevitable for any skater."

So Yulia's program is almost ready. She has chosen music without vocals, but she may change it before test skate in August in Novogorsk.
