There are sites you can use to download the captions/subtitles from any youtube video, and save as a timed subtitling script.Yes, if Papa uses caption subtitles, papa must have that soft sub file somewhere in the computer. Papa can send the file to you to make some hard-sub.
I used http://www.subtitledownloader.com/ a lot, but that's down now - don't know if it will be back.
This one is still working though: http://keepsubs.com/ - saves as .srt files.
