Thanks Pamina for the link and also the translation! I see that Brian Orser is learning also from his students who come from different cultural backgrounds. For me the new thing I learned from the interview is among his three "star" pupils, Brian deems Nam to be the hardest worker.

Thanks skatefan22 for the link. I was amused by the blogger's introductory note: "This is NOT a fanfiction (is it a fan non-fiction?). I’m getting anons saying they don’t like my fanfiction. I don’t have any..."

Anyway I like reading accounts by fans (of all ages) of their encounters with Yuzuru.
 
Haven´t seem this one posted. And interview with Jeffrey Buttle.

Before you knew it, Buttle was choreographing short programs for two of the sport’s top male skaters, Yuzuru Hanyu and Patrick Chan. Both were completely different skaters, so Buttle went in completely different directions for them. The two traded world record scores for those Buttle programs all year. That success put Buttle firmly on the map.
For Hanyu, Buttle chose “Parisian Walkway,” because he thought it was Hanyu in a nutshell. Hanyu had a “wild abandonment” in his skating, Buttle said. But he was shy. “It was incredible to watch him loosen up a bit and have fun with it, especially in such stressful conditions,” Buttle said. “It was one of those programs that if he didn’t commit to it, it could have been pretty bad. But he really committed to it.”

This article in italian says that all federations will have untill the end of may to confirm who wil be asigned to every GP event. The host country can send 3 skaters per dicipline.

It also say that of all reigning GP champions only Yuzuru is set to compete.

^The part when the Governor of Miyagi, Yoshihiro Murai, read part of the citation in Yuzuru's plaque telling this 19-year old boy who has went though so much to bring honor and glory to his beloved Sendai: "You are the the pride of Miyagi. You gave dreams and hopes to people recovering from the Great East Japan earthquake [t]hat is a driving force to power Tohoku revival..." was specially moving. (3:14 onwards)

I was only aware of this myself via the "The diverse beauty of men in figure skating" thread. Maybe the other fans can shed light on this one? :)

Sorry. Apparently as soon as I put the men videos they start removing in Daily also. :no:
Yuzuru's is still there but I'm afraid they're going to remove it.

That person it's me. :biggrin: But they have removed 8 videos today. I hope they don't remove all of them.
It took me 1 and half hour per video to upload. I thought Daily was not like youtube.
I'm gonna repeat the whole thing in another site.
