Hanyu's ties to his home country are very strong. However, the person you think you will like and the person you actually get together with can be surprisingly different. I had two Australian friends who I grew up with (they were in Japan since childhood) one said she really liked blond guys --and she married an Indian-malaysian man. The other friend said she really liked black guys, and she married a blond South African. --You never know.

Yeah, you never know until you actually fall in love.
But considering Yuzuru has always been very clear about what he wants, sticking to his plans, and taking actions to realize his goal step by step, I think he might well finally get what he originally wants. :think:

jup, that. And considering his age and his lifestyle where pretty much everything seems to revolve around skating, I'm not really surprised that he'd say/think something like that. But in the end you really never know what will happen. He might just end up surprising himself

Is it just me or...the idea of Kovtun and Yuzuru is kinda...cute?
You knows... life is always unexpected and Yuzuru is always unexpected. I don't mind if in the end it turns out his true love is not a Japanese cute lady skater. But the like of...ehh Kovtun. Or Voronov.

He says he does not care so much about winning the national title again as he is with accomplishing certain things and doing what he plans to do.
He mentions Shoma's high consistency as something the crowd can enjoy and that he looks forward to the competition.

Lol, but its good that the mood is lightened since nationals is only a few days away.....Its going to be pretty stressful soon so why not enjoy the fun for now
