I think you're right.
He said about it on the radio (before Sochi), that he has had strong feelings about R&J because R&J#1 was the one he performed in the year of the earthquake disaster and also at the worlds where he won the bronze medal. And he has thought the Olympic as a huge event of his skating life such as his compilation and the chapter of 4 years.
So He wanted to use the music for the Olympic as to bring his feelings altogether to there.
A bit off topic: I agree with Masaharu Fukuyama but Sota Fukushi was ranked higher than Yuzu??
Osamu Mukai is not bad, but where are Haruma Miura, Masaki Okada?? …..Takumi Saito? instead of them?? :sarcasm:
and maybe those actors are too tall to act a skater, they will be over 1.90m with skating boots XD
And doesn't this remind you of a female version of Yuzuru's Hana ni Nare costume?

His TEB EX of Notre Dame de Paris was sublime and made me see what I thought was a completely underwhelming program in a new light. It wasn't the full thing, it cut out the dreary and tedious middle section, and the condensed result is wonderful. His posture was noticeably better than the previous season. Complete with a quad toe so light that Nicky Slater thought it was a triple, but I forgive him, he is an ice dancer after all
I have thought that the his EX at TEB is one of his bests skating ever, which is as Perfect as Mao’s EX at worlds 2010 to me :yay:

I remember that he wanted POTO for 12-13 but Brian persuaded him to use notre dame de Paris. And then for 13-14, he proposed POTO again but then Brian didn't agree. Brian emailed him asking how about RJ, he immediately replied I LOVE IT! Brian said his heart beat raced a bit when he saw Yuzu's reply. This is from Brian's latest book.
So I guess for next season it will be

It is "I LOVE IT". Brian said Yuzu not only replied him immediately but also use all capitalized letters as in I LOVE IT! That is what made his heart race.

I am reading Yuzu’s Blue Flame Chapter 9 again (many thanks to千回百慕生who translated it into Chinese http://tieba.baidu.com/p/1527869353 she also put on Chinese subtitle for many of Yuzu’s videos). In this chapter Yuzu talked about many skates he competed at junior level.
Something interesting between him and Han Yan. Yuzu said (almost bragged) that he knew a lot about Han. It was the first year of their novice competition (when Yuzu won the Japanese Novice, so it was 2004?), and Han was the youngest skater (he is about one year younger than Yuzu). Yuzu felt great about his spinning, and Han was good as well. When they were in the open practice they already started competing - If Han did a biellmann, he would do it immediately. They did not talk but looked at each other and passed the messages like “I absolutely can do better!” At the end Han was placed 2nd and Yuzu 4th. Of course, he “regretted”, and he considered Han his first rival and the first one made him “regret”. So when it comes to Han, he had the especially strong feeling “I must not lose to him”.) this is so Yuzu)
My memory flashed back to crash between them back in CoC. Yuzu kept asking about Han when he came out with bandage on his hand, and later Han went shake his hands before the competition. Also days ago Han wrote a message on his Weibo about the costumes they prefer since they were kids. Han joked that he has been in vests and shirts since he was little, while Yuzu always likes things frilling. They also had very silly pictures taken together.
Just feeling sweet about the boys. Yuzu is at a complete different level now, and I hope Han will improve and get closer. He is my favorite Chinese skater in the men’s single discipline.
