I feel forever lonely in my love for the boobskirt...
Having seen a few young skaters' costumes based on Yuzu's makes me wonder if it's the skaters who go all "omg I love Yuzuru Hanyu, I want to look like him, make this costume for me!" or if it's the manufacturers who include the designs of famous skaters in their offer and you can buy them off the catalogue.

How dare you people despise the The Almighty Boobskirt, biggest feature of Yuzuru's legacy!
Its presence will be forever on young skaters wardrobe to remember us all about mister Hanyu's contribution for the skating world
Just kidding, I'm happy that there are admirers of the costume but I'm not one of them.
In my opinion it's probably the kids themselves asking for the costume, but the idea of selling the designs for the fans might make a lot of money :think:

Because the frills at the top, which are similar to a skirt sewed at the wrong part of the body, makes it looks like he has boobs.
Or just because it looks like there's a skirt at the 'breast level' of the body. It's a nickname given at the Yuzuru Hanyu forum

It's called that because of the location of that large ruffle. It may be more needed now (aside from the sports bra Pamina was suggesting) because Yuzuru seems to have grown a bigger chest
But seriously I have affection for that costume because Yuzuru won skating's biggest prizes wearing it. Take that Kurt Browning!

Don't feel lonery in your love for Yuzuru's costume Ro&J 2, I like it very much. I have seen it live last year in Skate Canada 2013. It was beautiful, Yuzuru looks stunning in this costume.
Anyway, I love all of his costumes.

^ Thanks. I think the essence of the article though answering "Where's Yuzu? How's Yuzu?" remains. It is a question for another day as to who asked for those deletions after the article had already been posted (a clear case of after the fact methinks). In any case I take reassurance from Brian thinking that Yuzuru will be ready.

Sorry I can't join you. I prefer Yuzu in normal clothes, like a regular shirt. I thought PW costumes (both colors) look pretty good on him. Surprisingly, I find his first POTO costume (the one he wore at COC) looks very good on him. That costume is not "normal" in anyway, but it looks really good on him. I can't say the same about most of his other costumes. (That's based on my personal preference of course.)

Thanks for posting the article Newbiespectator. So I understand his guards are doing their jobs protecting him. That's nice. What I don't understand is that the article says "he skipped and ran to his car". It's nice to know that he can run, but why skipping?? Am I understanding it correctly?? Or does that simply means he's happy skipping and running towards his car?? :think:
