Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

I love this music Tristan und Isolde. I wanted to save this for Yuzuru

Me too.
That kind of dramatic music suits Yuzu so well.
Regarding to his posture, etc.
This season everything is ok to me,
I don`t want Yuzu to become too balletic, like Machida.

Here is my Yuzu-related A-Z.
It was a fun game, thank you for the idea.
A-Nanami Abe sensei. She guided him to his first big medals-JGPF, JCh and breaktrough senior world`s bronze. I put her on first place.
B-Bestemianova-Bobrin, russian greats, who brought that extra touch to R&J1- unforgettable program, beloved by almost everyone.
C-Canada, which great skaters (B.Orser, T.Wilson, D.Wilson, J.Buttle and also K.Browning, who revealed Yuzu`s inner rockstar first with his Ex) helped to define his talent. True meaning of sport is unite all people and celebrate greatness of human regardless of country, nation, etc. They did exactly that with Yuzu.
D-David Carmichael, I will always remember his knight gesture (kissing Yuzu`s hand and saying "I meant it").
E-Trophee Eric Bompard, I`m grateful for their ability to make a beautiful gala, I give a justice for NDP program for the first time there.
F-Javier Fernandez, his training mate, who inspires Yuzu every day.
G-Artur Gachinsky, his junior days rival, who won senior world`s bronze medal earlier than Yuzu.
H-Han Yan, his childhood rival.
I-Ina Bauer- Yuzu`s signature move.
J-Johnny Weir, his inspiration.
K-South Korea where (hopefully) Yuzu will repeat his Olympic victory!

M-Moulin Rouge, to its soundtrack "Bolero" Yuzu skated in one my fav. outfit.

P-Plushenko, his idol.
Q-quads, of course. Yuzu has the most effortless and gorgeous quads IMO.
R-Romeo=Yuzu. No wonder he skated two different programs to this image. He truly is Romeo.
S-Sochi, where he made history as first japanese (first asian too) male Olympic Champion in Figure skating.
T-Tohoku Earthquake changed Yuzu`s life and character forever.
U-Shoma Uno, Yuzu`s successor.
V-Victory sign, Yuzu`s fav.gesture while posing for photo (he didn`t mean it though). It`s so cute.
W-Waseda university, where he studies.
X-Xylitol White. I liked this CM. It`s fun.
Y-Yagudin, didn`t Yuzu mention that SLC OG were his fav.? That`s the legendary rivalry of Yagudin-Plushenko.
Z-Zigeunerweisen, Yuzu said it was hard to him to skate to that music. Abe-san never hesitated to give him challenge.

I totally agree with you that his ndp fs was so underrated, I actually loved his performance in gpf and also world's, and I kinda like his xylitol cm, so cute and so funny, it was the first cm which made me think that he can try acting, lols!!

Great choices, though I do not agree on L (Yulia is a good skater, but Yuzulia makes me go pfff) and X (it's honestly too embarassing to me, I watched once, it was once too many lol! Maybe with another costume it wouldn't have been so bad to me?)

Yuzuru, come back to TEB, please!

I remember foundly how he helped Shoma during GPF with translating stuff to him in Japanese, and trying to "help" him on how to act on the ice. Poor Shoma was SO shy, it was cute but thanks goodness Yuzuru was around him. I'm really looking foward to see him and Yuzuru in competition together. I hope Shoma's debut in Senior will go well.

Regarding Yagudin, I remember how he compared Denis with Yagudin. That's saying just how highly he thinks of DTen.

Wah, that's brillant, thanks for the links! The last one made me laugh, considering how he takes competitions very seriously.

Hey, by the way, a few weeks earlier, we were talking about the colour of his costumes and how we haven't seen him in yellow (well except for a novice costume but it was a long time ago) or green yet. Green looks good on him, a costume with this colour should work if it is well done. :yes:

I can't find the video clip now but iirc Yuzu pretended to kiss oda, oda didn't resist at all and just waited for Yuzu's kiss, but Yuzu was too shy to actually kiss him

Awwww, these just gave me warm fuzzy feels! How wonderful that Yuzuru has become a "family affair" for them and I think many others as well.

On another note, those first posters seem to get everything right about him. Years before, they predicted that he would become Olympic and World Champion. I hope to follow their footsteps by predicting he will be a multiple Olympic and World champion.

How is that person going to finish all those gums? it’s like 1000 chewing gums you can have one everyday and still have leftover after 2 and half years

Hey, does anyone have a link to the video of Yuzu working on quad toe when he was young? The one when he falls time and time again. I may be wrong, but I seem to remember there was a version with English subtitles.
