I don't think there is anything wrong with fans going to meet him at the airport.
He is an athlete- yes, but he is a public figure and as such people can and will go and meet him when they can.
I find their dedication, traveling all the way to the airport or to the hotel (how did they know where he stayed??! That's befuddling to me) a little admire worthy.

Short for Brian Orser. I love this nick name. BOrser sounds very cute. And is it just me or BOrser looks like Pooh (round face). Maybe that's why Yuzuru loves his coach.

And I have to say... I have given up on a dream about a decent costume for Yuzuru. Let's just say even if he wore an utterly ugly bag for POTO, I still find his skating lovely. Yes I am blind.

I tend to think so too. His costume choice makes for lively discussion in this thread, but ultimately, Yuzuru will be judged by his skating, and I hope he does his programs to perfection in the next couple of days. Go Yuzuru!

The funny thing is, Machida's mother was interviewed at the airport and regarding her son's quote about the pitch, she stated "they'll probably hit a home run."
And she was right, with Mura winning Skate Canada! Good for both of them.

At the interview when asked about Tatsuki’s comment at SA (“I think I could throw a pretty good ball to my rivals. I want to see how they hit it back.”, Yuzu said “Tatsuki-kun said that? I see, well, I don’t think I need to hit his ball back. I could just catch it/take it in like doing catch ball.”

He also said that since two Japanese skaters have already won and made him a nice wind-wing situation, he hopes to give good performance (at COC) with that help.

He mentioned that Takahito’s POTO performance was stimulating for him. He hopes to show HIS POTO there.

At the scene with the tailor, he wanted the sleeves smaller worrying if they were too wide, he would not be able to jump. The (Ballade) costume itself is light, but it will be a bit heavier when stones are sewed on. Since he extends his arms a lot in the program, he wanted to his costume to help his pose look better.

I think what he means is he will win at CoC (like Machida did at SA), but there will not be any "game" between them as Yuzu will continue to win and defeat all opponents, including Machida.
