Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

After watching his POTO practise, even without jumps and spins I feel I am already touched by the program. Or it is just because I haven't seen him skating for months:p

Not at all. Everytime he gets to compete in Asia I need to get up around 3 or 4 am:laugh:And then go to work.

Hi Elaine...how will you watch?? Do you have a link to a live stream that works in Canada?? Ive been trying to find one that is accessible from Canada. thanks in advance!!

Or he meant to say that he doesn't necessarily have to compete with them over who's better. Its not a game of who's the better skater because in his opinion they are all great. ;)

I think that's exactly what he meant.:agree:

Thanks for all the updates. The ironic thing being I just got into Shanghai, but could not see any video or Instagram updates because I guess these sites are banned? ( I didn't know dailymotion won't work here either! ) it's kind of like I'm so close yet so far...

You are going to see him in flesh and bones- I think that covers for the pain of no preview, right? Cause you are SO LUCKY!

I was only quickly scanning through the reports of those who skated with Team Cricket, and I think one person said that Hanyu-kun said no to taking photo together. I am happy that he knows to draw boundaries even in a foreign country!

Japanese media loves to stir up a little rivalry; of course they would want to get a quote from him along the lines of "I'll hit the ball right back...", but good job with the answer! It was just like when after OG they kept saying he is the new ace, and he said he has no desire to be the ace. Very very high EQ for this young man.

Well said. The "demands" of media and fans can really be overwhelming if one doesn't know how to, as you say, draw boundaries. With his demanding programs and the pressure both from others and himself to do well being the Olympic and world champion, Yuzuru really needs to focus on his skating. I hope the fans who got a "No" from him understand that.

Thank you again to all those who posted links and updates. :)

I am so excited to see his SP. It looked beautiful during the summer shows and can only imagine that it is even better now with practice!

If anybody wants to take a look at his LP practice from CoC: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x29f49u_1106-%E3%83%AF%E3%82%A4%E3%82%B9%E3%82%AF-%E5%85%AC%E5%BC%8F%E7%B7%B4%E7%BF%92_sport
The feeling of the choreography really is different than Wilson's, isn't it?
Thank you for the link. Now I am convinced that David Wilson is not the choreographer for Yuzuru.
Even his Biellmann looks quite good (like better than Serafima and Anna Pogorilaya), maybe his injury has become much better.

A bit worried about 3 quads, though. He pop the 4S in the practice video. Please be healthy Yuzuru. Please don't push yourself too hard.

I feel like he's skating skills have gotten so much smoother (that or those cameras work magic). The 3A-1L-3S is looking really nice too the ride out on the 3S was really impressive. Hope he finally hits a nice 4S in his program.
