Hi,
Anyone knows what Yuzuru needs to achieve in order to qualify for Worlds 2015 ? Read somewhere that its determined by his ranking in Japan Nationals. If so, whats the minimum position that he needs to finish at ? Thanks in advance.

I'm really hoping that qualification to the 4CC + Worlds Team doesn't come down to JSF having to justify Yuzuru's presence should he find himself in a lower placement than Murakami, Mura and Machida (I call them the M3 ehe). I believe that he'll soon be able to get past the mental slump, as it seems his practices are going well. At the very least, I'm wishing for him to podium at the GPF, and perhaps his outing there will motivate him further for the Nationals, where he will hopefully defend his title. He can do it, now he just has to believe in the fact that he can do it!![]()

Does anyone know if at GPF the skate order is determined by world ranking, qualification points or random draw? If it is by world ranking Yuzu skates last. If it is by qualification points, Yuzu skates first. If its random draw, he could the order of skating is unpredictable!![]()
It was by qualification points last year, so it will probably be the same this year if I'm not wrong
Qualification for Worlds. From another forum

It's in Japanese. I believe it says that an injured skater does not have to qualify via Nationals or top finisher GPF if they placed 3rd or higher at previous Worlds. Since Yuzuru won Worlds 2014, he qualifies without participating in Nationals.
Wait but Yuzuru would have to be the top finisher at GPF then right? So he would still have to participate at nationals if he falls below mura and machida at GPF?
I've found this article which says that poor Yuzu will not like to see Brian's training plans. The same training plan Brian shows to the media in the clip you've posted. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

I'm so excited for the GPF and for Yuzuru to skate in it! It'll be hard to focus cause it's around the time I have to study for finals.

I'm not exactly sure why but I have a strong feeling Yuzu should have been on that plane back to Canada with Brian even given the quick turnaround and time changes. He needs his coach by his side not just a piece of paper with written instructions. Hope I'm wrong though and he's able to rise above his challenges alone.
That's an interesting observation, I actually prefer Yuzu to skate first because it really is less pressure to go first than last. (is that true for figure skating? idk) Isn't it better to get the performance over with first, then he can watch everyone else skate? Or is it better to go near the end?
I agree with you. In an ideal situation, Yuzu should return to CC with BOrser. However, this is not his first time being coachless. I think BOrser also have faith in Yuzu in following his training plan (I've read that it wrote "Yuzu Schedule" on that piece of paper from some Japanese blog). Also, I've just rewatched Time of Awakening and there is a scene where Yuzu was coachless training at Ice Rink Sendai. Before he started his training, he checked his email for BOrser's training plan and then he sighed in a high pitch. He then said to the filming crew that they might be able to record his painful look. It seems that BOrser's plan was pretty tough to follow. If this plan is the same one from before or something similar, then it'll be hard on Yuzu. Having said that, his injury is not keeping him from his practice, it is his fear that he has to overcome. He needs to be mentally strong again. I wish he can overcome this obstacle before GPF.
