Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

Great pic! What about the blue Time Traveler blouse?

Hehe, yes that as well as surprisingly, his training shirt (Pamina posted a link to a pic of that training shirt "billowing" and joked about the need for a sports bra many, many pages back IIRC).

GPF programs with Polish Commentaries.

Hopefully someone will translate and upload the Italian commentaries

Yuzuru EX from GPF from Polish Eurosport

The man commentator is such a Yuzuru fanboy.. :laugh2:

I believe it is Poice of this thread who uploaded and translated the Polish commentaries for Yuzuru's 2014 GPF programs. She did the same for Yuzuru's 2014 Worlds LP. Many thanks to her! :)

Being Polish, the commentators were happy with Yuzuru's choice of music for the SP and said so. ;)

Comment by yude from the other forum. It seems Yuzuru did feel too much pain to the point he might have withdrawn from Nationals.

I suppose I shouldn't feel surprised that he soldiered on to do the FP and produced the performance that he did (landed that pesky lutz in the end).

Ditto about Brian staying up all night studying videos of Yuzuru's form to correct the problem.

Thanks to everyone for the links, translations, information, and updates. Welcome also to the new posters! :)

This commentator is even level higher that the one from Brit ESP :laugh2:

Nah, the BEsp guys win by sheer enthusiasm of heaping on the praise. :biggrin:They all have declared Yuzuru the best skater ever, though, so it's really close. The three of them should comment together at least once, I'm sure they'd reach entirely new heights.

Lol, the lady commentator didnt stand a chance

She sounded like she kinda wanted to say that she might be the one to prefer the harder, more masculine style of skating, but was too scared to do so, lol.

You're right. She really likes Javier's skating but she said many times that her ultimate favorite skater is (now "was" unfortunately...) Daisuke Takahashi. Anyway I'm glad that she also can say many great things about Yuzu :)

 And Daisuke did say, that Yuzuru is the manliest of them all...;)

:points: to the man commentator...thank you for loving and standing up for our boy

A new video on japanese nationals. Yuzu's part starts from around 9:40
Does anyone know the purposes of yuzu's excercises? I don't get why he throws a ball or pulls the rope for the warm up. It seems he transforms the preparation room into a playground:laugh:

So great to see Brian (in his usual sweater vest) tossing the ball to Yuzu! I love videos like this which show behind the scenes. So fun. In each new video Yuzu looking more and more like a jock and less like a "pretty" figure skater. A nice change, imho. Anyone else notice this?

^^^ Now I wonder whether he broke out of the spin maybe due to the pain in the tummy rather than the back?? however slow motion also showed that his blade was caught in the groove.

I remember reading from somewhere that he himself said that his blades stuck onto the ice and thus broke his spin, and looking back at his spin, it does look a little bit like that.

Omg I'm from Hong Kong as well  You're the first person I've seen on this forum who is! Yeah it's sad how (watching) figure skating isn't popular, even though a lot of people go skating recreationally and have lessons (as I did as well :P Not that they really went anywhere).

Oh my! I almost thought i might the only person from Hong Kong! Did you saw him during the olympics?

Oh, I wasn't in Russia! Were you? I did watch it live on my computer though. I was already supporting Yuzu by that point so it was very nerve-wracking  But I did go to Barcelona to watch him in GPF!

Anyway I think there are other fans as well (I know another HK person who likes figure skating) but they probably use Chinese forums (well, she does at least). But I can't really read Chinese so :slink:

Isnt the coming of age ceremony in Japan held on January 12th? Is Yuzu gonna miss it cause of his surgery or was he not going to go in the first place? (because he was supposed to be training in Toronto now, i think)
