Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

Watching the nationals reminds me of how much I am less prone to have a heart attack when Hanyu-san is not competing; I have people/programs that I prefer over others for sure, but I can really sit back and enjoy with a reasonable amount of excitement.

I am very happy that he is able to fly under the radar for so long! And yes, I believe the next time we hear from him it will probably be about him training in Toronto; there shouldn't be news about him flying back (by shouldn't I mean in respect to his privacy).

Same, I really do not enjoy that impending doom-sinking stomach-heart racing feeling when my favorites compete :hopelessness: Its much more fun (as a sport to watch) when you have no horse in the race :slink:

I thought it would be that way...and then I went from being a mild Joshua fan to being a CRAZY Joshua fan. The level of nervousness is not at Hanyu level yet, but it was pretty tense. :drama:

Yeah, somehow with me too. I enjoyed checking out what were the podium standings for both Canadian and U.S. Nationals, but I was definitely not in the emotional-breakdown-from-nerves/worry state for these events. The date of the Nationals naturally passes and I check in every now and then to see who skated well. I actually like the ease of these competitions (to me as a outsider fan), but probably fans of the U.S./Canadian skaters must've been freaking out from anticipation. ;)

LMAO at the conversation over Yuzuru's Pooh bear in the US Nationals thread. lol

To tell the truth what made me attract to him as a person in the first place is the Pooh bear for God's sake. At WC 2012 I saw him with Pooh bear and I thought: "This boy is interesting " and when he rocked in the FS that was the deal!

I really hope people will let skaters be themselves and stop complaining about their habits. This accusing and blaming Yuzu and Jason for faking their behavior and acting childishly is never going to end.

yes U.S nationals were great and many skaters skated well and relatively clean but i think i wasnt that excited not because my fave arent among them but also program content wise it wasnt as high as other competitions, i havent felt excited more than seeing Adam landed his quad attempt (that might also because noone expected that :D ) but after competition was over i felt i wanted more, just my opinion though

and about him and jason and they are being child like, who cares if it helps them deliver that programs they delivers  its not like yuzuru carries his pooh tissue box everywhere he goes apart from competitions or hugs him while sleeping or sth (not that i know of anyway ) and he said himself Pooh helps calm him down so whats the big deal :slink:

wow over 2M views and still counting  i admire yuzuru hanyu so much its hard for me to backread all this pages of yuzuru thread :laugh2: wishing our prince to be fully recover and he might ready and well prepared for upcoming WC

^Thank you for the links, alia.

Same here and believe it or not, Recently I finally could make the time myself to watch Yuzuru’s FS at the COC! Such chicken-hearted

About Pooh thing, I feel that the Pooh would be now the kind of his lucky charm and the kind of healing item. iirc he didn’t carry his pooh tissue box during the competition at Olympic while Javier kept his Mickey at there.so I think it's kinda clear that he can skate well and even be a champ without relying on the thing

Who cares about Pooh? As long as he skates like he does and keep improving he could carry if he want the hold Hundred Acre Wood and I wouldn´t care.

:laugh2: When I read this, I imagined him as the peter piper who has a trail of woodland creatures following him....and it was strangely fitting

Thank you alia jackson for the collection
