Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

Congratulations on the Tuna? Lol there's a sentence I never thought I'd say  Good to know he's up and about, it means that recovery's coming along well. I'm hoping he's taking it slow and not pushing himself. Looking forward to when he goes back to Canada since his team will assess his situation and monitor his training.

Doesn't Sarah have such a beautiful voice? I give serious respect to people who can sing live like that without the help of auto-tuners etc. -Of course, she's probably not everyone's style, but I love Hanyu's EX this year with her singing.

In the case of Hiromi Go last year at the ice show, I wish he had used an auto tuner. It would have made everyone more comfortable.

 And look how beautiful she looks here , during the award ceremony. I'm so on board with this ship. Their picture together during the ice show was truly a picture perfect "Ice Prince and Princess" :o:

Is anyone keeping track of how many ships this thread has attributed to him? :slink:

we tried like 100 pages ago  congratulations for tuna :cheer: thanks everyone for updates

btw kinda off topic but there is 10 year old skater Stephen Gogolev and seems like he is landing 3A already , whats in the water of the TCC :jaw:

^I don't think it's water, I think it's more like testosterone and good old-fashioned competitiveness in that place. You have major figure skating title-holders at that rink! 😁

I remember Denis Ten said (in the latest Olympic video) that he first landed it when he was 11.

Arakawa said when Hanyu was young his jumps did not stand out as much as his spins.
I think, Hanyu excelled in jumps in the end because he loved them so much. When he was interviewed at 11, he said he loved the feeling of landing a jump well...but he 'only' jumped the 3A in competition when he was 14. -The quad was jumped in competition when he was 15.

I find the information really interesting because Denis himself said he landed the 3A when he was 11, Liza landed it when she was 12... and there's myth that Plushenko landed it when he was 7 or 9. How old was Mao when she landed the 3A? I don't know if "landing the jump" when young has much to do with their ability latter on. I think it depends on each individual.

Well, I think time when someone first started doing some of jumps is not prodigy of what the thing will look after few years.

In my opinion Yuzuru have the most natural 3A that anyone ever had. It's not just about technique, I think there is some kind of special connection between this jump and his body. He can do it how he want, from any entrance, from stand-stil
That's why I think if anyone will be able to do quad axel, he will be the guy to do it

In the magazine "Figure Skate Fan 2015", three lady fans are talking about Yuzuru's second career, who do you think they raised for a new ship of Yuzuru?

Their talks are like this:

"Princess Kako !! "

"Princess Kako? That's great! "

"Actually, she was learning figure skating before."

"If they get married, they would establish a figure skate award named 'Hanyu Cup' !! "

"How nice  "

 Somebody stop their imagination going too far
