: Too kind...let's see...3 1/2 hours. Longer than for my usual sketching because I wanted to include the detail of his clothes. Meoima, I know you don't like this costume, but I REALLY love it.
The asymetrical detail of the flowers on the shoulder and waist. the horizontal gathering of the fabric catch the spotlights so well and also give Yuzu a bit more 'volume'. The darkening of the color on the end of the sleeves helps to accentuate his arm movements etc. etc.

Thank you. I've been trying so hard to think of a way to put wings on Yuzu. The thing is, it's too 'obvious' to put wings on his back and after all he's a skater so the wings should be on his feet, but that is also problematic.
Yesway's original photograph that I used as reference cast a lovely shadow on the ice and it was the perfect place to put the wings. Pencil sketching is very relaxing and Yuzu is a perfect subject.

Indeed. The wings aren't there literally and it gives a deeper meaning in the shadow. It's just perfect

I know that Hanyu is very affectionate and nice with other skaters, but is he gay? I do not want to open up that boo gay can of worms, so don't even. I don't have a problem with it if he is. I don't think we're allowed to discuss these issues unless its been mentioned by the skaters themselves (forum rules?) But I personally don't think he is....and I would say my radar is usually pretty accurate Regardless, it doesn't matter to me if he is or isn't.

Haha we won't really know unless he tells us he is I'm not sure if he is and that's weird because being gay myself my gaydar is usually rather accurate but weirdly I don't know about him

Oh sorry, I didn't know that was off limits. My apologies! I honestly didn't know. I read something and a bit said that it was announced in an autobiography( I think Yuzu wrote one in Japanese....The article thing also mention Weir. As we know, Weir also wrote a book, so I was really confused.

I just enjoy these synchronisms of the two more than ship them.
I personally liking Yuzutao too but no one can beat Yuzupooh overall
