Thank you. I think I will have to use his FLIP at GPF Barcelona then. It's not clear edge but better than the one at Nationals. Maybe slight inside edge.

Quoting myself here.

This is not a big project but I hope I can finish it before Worlds. And after that maybe I might do some videos about his spins and other moves in the field. But at first it's his jumps I want to finish. I have found enough HD clips of his performance I think. All of his jumps are wonderful.

But his FLIP is still the problem. I want to know if someone can help me, is there any clip that Yuzuru actually did okay with his FLIP? Even if it's in practice it's okay!!

Thank you in advance.

Is this a flip (2:08) in this clip? I still cannot differentiate between the jumps and the edges. But I found this jump very nice.

Judging from the protocols, it seems that the tech panels are stricter this season and gave out more edge calls. (Skaters who did not get edge calls last season got edge calls this season, e.g. Patrick, Tastuki.) This seaon, Yuzuru actually got less edge calls. So I would like to think he got better with the flip edge, unless the tech panel is lenient on him only . (I really can't see the difference even if there is an edge call.)

Just a warning for those of you who want to steer yourself away from conspiracy theory/unconfirmed reports, etc. Apparently one of the tabloid magazines in Japan (女性自身)has a headline in which they reveal the truth of his two-month missing in action...:drama:

I am bringing it up there in case it causes a panic (again!) that it is from a reliable news source...it is not.

unless they have publicly disclosed.

I think it's obviously tabloid. No need to get panic. They are tabloid, they are willing to do anything to get their magazine sold. It's not like this is the first time. And seriously I laugh at the title. Yuzuru never stops his training just because of those stupid reasons.

What I am concerned is his health. What is holding him back from going to Toronto? So I am trying me convince myself it is just that he wants to spend more time with family and that WC is in Asia. Well, I am not sure if it is convincing. But I sincerely hope it is not his health that is preventing him from going to Toronto.
Sorry to bring this up again but I have no one else to talk to about it...

I'm with you skatefan22 in that it seems very worrisome that he didn't go back to train in Toronto. I don't think it's because he wanted to spend time with his family as he could do that after the WC. Knowing him he'd want to train really hard for the biggest competition of the year and that would mean being with his coach and choreographer. No, it seems there is something else going on and it's only normal that we, his loyal fans, are concerned. I'm grateful to have this forum where I can voice my thoughts and a big thank you to those in Japan who always share info that the rest of us would never see.

Edit: I just saw the posts above. I didn't mean that I wanted fans to share tabloid garbage and I can't read Japanese anyway!

Red Cross 3.11 pamphlet with Yuzu

Today March 11, 2015, if people search for “3.11” in Yahoo Japan. Yahoo! will donate 10 yen per your one person who has searched using the keyword “3.11” in the search. The money will be donated to organizations involved in reconstruction of the affected areas by Yahoo! http://search.yahoo.co.jp/searchfor311/2015/

The magazine indeed is tabloid garbage in which the editors go anywhere on the internet to find if there is any possible gossip to make headlines, so if next week we see something like that again, let's not take it seriously. That's my friend who is in Japan's has just told me.

I and my friend are joking that maybe Yuzuru was heart broken by Javi and Miki so he decided to stay in Japan to train, so he wouldn't have to see Javi in Toronto as it's painful. :laugh2: Heck please we are just joking!! if you believe it, it's not our fault.

The best scenario I can actually picture in my mind is that Yuzu is recovering well, training hard and enjoying his old domestic routine after a very long time -home –family- studying-training-friends –family- home, like a normal, anonymous skater skating in his preferred ice rink.

I highly doubt JSF let him skate deep at night by himself , like Yuzu had to do in 2012 /2013 season in Sendai ,if they want to save the three spots at Worlds they ‘ll need him at his best possibly .

GOOOOO YUZUUUUUU!!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

ahhh thanks firal for the video, joshua is so cute admitting that he has been admiring yuzuru for years now, dont worry joshua its not creepy at all like you said  i hope they can meet at worlds and have good time, we might see some (pretty handsome) pictures

I found it really cute too! It's as if Joshua is really embarrassed to be a fan of another skater his own age who is not retired (because usually ppl who get asked that say they admire past skaters). It's nice that the answer went to a current skater, so hopefully they meet sometime!

Sorry I can't really understand Japanese, can someone give a gist of what the article is about?

Yuzuru Hanyu "heart broken" The real truth about his 2 months blank.

I think the full article will be publish in march 24th.
This Kobunsha's "Jyosei Jisin" is gossip magazine so no need to believe this:p
