He is, according to the official list of competitors given .
A bit off topic, but as another cure.
This program is featuring Shun Sato, Yuzuru's kohai in Sendai. He won first place in Novice B category for 2 consecutive years.
He is treasuring a charm and memo given by Yuzuru.
He also had to find his training rink at the time of earthquake, and he even changed his school for 5 months for that purpose till the Ice Rink Sendai was reopened.
He already lands 2A+3T, and Novice A boys say, "Youth of today are unbelievable!!"

Is it me or his hairstyle look very similar yo yuzuru when he was in junior and novice? They are making skating an increasingly crazy and dangerous sport nowadays..... trying so difficult jumps at such a young age!

It takes a special skater to make a video like the one I did flow so easily. Like I said ...I intended it to be a one minute movie to analyze one spin and a few jumps in slow motion. But.......as I watched the videos and selected clips to use I slowly realized how overboard I went in finding things I liked. And it wound up being a 4 minute project.

I'm looking forward to seeing yuzu's reaction to this poster!!
I think he might feel quite embarrassed, especially when there's basically No other skaters in this poster! It's all dedicated to yuzu! The designer of the poster has to be a fan of yuzu!
This poster is definitely too huge for anyone to miss
the fans of yuzu must be overjoyed if they work or stay nearby to see this poster lols..... so envious

Awesome video! Brings back all the good memories from the GPF.
It seems like he does a lot of commercials. Is this common in Japan? Is it encouraged by JSF, or is he doing it just for the money?

^^ Checkout the Skaters in commercial videos thread, seems it is quite common for skaters to do commercial especially more in Japan. Mao and Daisuke are very popular so they have a lof of commercials, even Oda

Apparently he has been a loyal customer of this mattress/sleep-goods brand. He was photographed with the "air-portable" mattress before at an airport I think.
I can't believe only a little more than a week to go until we get to see him! We haven't seen him since the Japan Nationals (Just like Orser?
