Do you mean the program/choreography itself or Yuzu's performance yesterday?

In terms of program/choreography, I actually find the Chopin SP an ok, but not outstanding choreography. But the program showcases his skill well. So his performance in general is excellent.

For me, I don't think I will want to watch the Chopin SP if it's performed by any skater other than Yuzu.

We are probably in the minority here.

The program itself is ok, but far from what we saw last year when he showed in exhibition his first SP version (we can say the original). I loved it, it was promising ! but due to his inuries, collisions, overwhelming EX program in Japan, he was exhausted and re-arranged the SP.

And concerning Yuzu's performance is ok but not outstanding (4T stumble, a little bit nervous for the rest) . Maybe as he did since longtime a good 3lz 3T combination, it may rises our view of his performance but for me, it was a pleasant perf but thats all.

His performance yesterday could be better. But I set a pretty low expectation, so I still find him excellent.

He has improved a lot the step sequence and the spin. If you compare the two version, the original version has better jump layout but the current version has better steps.
His jumps yesterday was not perfect, as they said he injured his ankle while praticing the 4T so he still has some fear to this jump. His right ankle is still wrapped in tap at the moment. So what he can do with his current condition, he has done best.
His performance yesterday IMO has the best step we have ever seen from him. Every step and spin hit the right note. As a classical music listerner, I couldn't ask for more. His musicality is really top notch.

He did say 85, (I listened while pressing my earphones on my head to hear better, lol). Even Brian laughed and said "Nah, it should be pretty good.". I don't think he'd have said that if Yuzu had said 95.

Sorry but this crack me up maybe because I know also some Japanese fans always use high-performance earphones for hearing his voices. great at yuzu fans unite. :agree:

GOD, HOW BRILLIANT THAT WAS?? This sp is just an absolutely gorgeous program, and if anyone ever says to me that Yuzuru isn't musical I'm going to slap their face and shove this program on them (no violence)

And the 'fall' ( step out ) actually wasn't in the slightest disruptive for me. Maybe because it seemed so elegant the way he recovered and made it fit the notes of the music, completely the opposite of his GPF sp fall. I didn't even frown at the error, i'm just repeating the video at neverending loop.

I am not the only one who look him elegant the way recovering from the falls or hands down to ice such as the one from PW at worlds 2014, etc.

Tickets are already onsale for Skate Canada many months ago. Its a small building...so i got my package early!!

I think I still prefer his PW (that will be one of the most famous programs of him in the future along with R&J#1) is simply outstanding, perfect SP in the field.
as for the Chopin, seeing that amazing footworks from him yesterday I feel that he is coming closer to Mao’s level in terms of step sequence now. even more surprised at the ss.

Am I the only one who find that his SP was ok but not tremendous like a lot of people said ?

I actually prefer his GPF final SP which had an ethereal grace I didn't feel as much here. But the performance from yesterday showcased extraordinary skating skills and much more speed and precision in the step sequence and the spins. I think Yuzu is gaining in strength, which of course shows in the overall performance.

Yes I totally agree with this. I mainly listen to classical music and the way he skated this program last night was probably everything I wanted from him. It was pretty much completely on point with the music, though I would want to see him do the 3Lz-3T right on the downbeat haha he was a little bit late.

Having said that, I do miss his original layout... the spread eagle-3A-spread eagle was gorgeous.

Out of all the Chopin performances this season, the latest one is my favourite. Aside from the wonky 4T, his steps were amazing and he also added some subtle details to the performance. It shows a lot of restraint and control while at the same still showcases his confidence. I think it's truly graceful and magical
