Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

First time I've seen a photo of Yuzu's mom in the audience....she looks so worried about him. :hopelessness: I guess whatever worries we had, his mother felt that 100x over. I'm sure this seasons been hard for his family too.....

I didn't know his mom was so young! We should all take it a good thing for his mom to be worried...It means she is a good mom

What are your favourite Yuzu Worlds2015 moments

Also I'm not sure whether this interview been shared . His English is getting better, and love his answer regarding competitors :points:

I love his facial expressions after Who is your biggest competitor? Wise answer!

Next year is going to be a huge battle with Chan back! :hb:

Great post! And what a great battle it's going to be! Thinking about it now, I'm actually really excited to see what's in store for the Hanyu vs. Chan rivalry next season. Things are always more exciting when it's less predictable with very strong competitors present. ;)

Thank you everybody for the post, translations and positive energy (mostly) .

Do we know when the Worlds Team will be announces?

I think someone here had said that there will be a conference on the 31st regarding the WTT team

Here is my latest blog entry - my thoughts on watching Worlds. Hope you like it.

He would have won with a skate with 2 falls. Again. No, it's better that he has silver. Yuzuru is overall the better skater, but at the Championships, Javier was better. The last thing I would wish for Yuzuru is to be perceived as second Patrick Chan, winning with subpar performances. And I think that he new that Gold might slip away from him when he was blowing those kisses, he wasn'exactly jumping with joy, just graciously thanking fans for support. He knows very well how popping jumps ends and he didn't look surprised at the scores in the least.

I'm not disappointed that he was second. I'm proud of him that he managed to climb back this high after what he's been through.

Actually, I think he would've won if he landed the 4T. This way it would've been better. At least he landed one clean quad, rather than failed 3 quads in the competition and the LP would be a clean program. Actually I am wondering what caused him to pop. He doesn't usually pop. If he does pop, it's usually the 4S that he pops. I checked his competition history. He popped 4S at GPF 2012, 4CC 2013, NHK 2014 and World 2015. Do skaters pop a jump when they are nervous or when they don't have stamina? I also wondered if he didn't sprain his ankle, do you think he would have enough training to prepare for the WC?

Honestly, I really like your blog posts, especially this one! :) You summarize the entire men's event very, very well and every part that you mention is reflected in all the fans' hearts most likely. I bet everyone can relate to the nervousness fans feel when it's the turn of our favourite skater to skate.

I actually like your blog post better than the "Figure Skater Insider", Beverley Smith's articles.

Esopian: omigosh, thank you so so much, first for taking the time to read my posts, and for your super sweet comments. It totally inspires me to continue writing in my blog (which I started just for fun to see if I could do it). And about the Beverley comment, that is a HUGE compliment, I thank you VERY much for that!!

Enough training? Definitely not. He only has 1 or 2 hour practice per day, 3 day per week from the beginning of March. If you think 18 hours at max in practice is enough for WC.
