Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

I never seem to find any! The ones I find are always either baby poohs or the tsum-tsum version

Haha oh my god I love tsum tsum. I think the one Yuzuru picked up from the ice after SP was the tsum tsum version, but then he made it sit faaar away from him in K&C on the corner of the bench :(

I think my mum bought some normal Poohs from Trendyland (LOL, where they still exist I have no idea) before GPF :)

According to nikkansports news, he would not skate POTO & chopin next season but look foward to skating someday.
「(来季の)可能性はいまのところは少ないかなと思うんですけど、いつかまたやりたい」

Will not use for next season but someday in the future - 2018 Olympics? POTO 2.0? I'd love to see that! :cheer:

I posted this in the edge, but here too.

The rest is in English so I will do a rough translation of Yuzu's Comments.
Vid 1: About 3 quads...
Yuzu: Thank you for today. Javier put 3 quads in his program, and I had the same plan, and if I can, I will want to do the same.
My weapon is not just the quad, it is the triple axel and other things also contribute to points. So when I have the stamina to do those things, I will challenge the quad. Thank you for your support.

Vid 2: Best points (and bad points about each other)
Yuzu: I will start with the easiest, Javi. We are always training together. What is really good about him, well this time I'm in a position to understand, that he genuinely is happy for the good performances of others. From his heart. This is really amazing. I'm full of regret, right now, I'm like "I'll beat you next time!" But the kindness of Javi's heart, is what is wonderful about him. This comes out in his skating. I think this is the skating that captures everyone.

Denis and I have been competing since we were Juniors, watching his performances makes me very on-edge. When he does a wonderful performance, it is really, really wonderful.
My favorite Olympics is the Saltlake City Olypmics, he has the air about him like Alexei Yagudin. The power of his performance, expression, jumps and the like, I am amazed, and at the same time, I feel like, I mustn't be left behind. I should see only the good, but I mustn't lose! No bad things, sorry. Thank you.

Thanks for the translation Newbies :agree:

I think Yuzu's made good improvement in his English (maybe he was studying during the 2 months recuparation), seemed like he was able to understand what Javi and Denis were saying

Thanks for the translation Newbiespectator! I was trying to understand what Yuzuru was saying through the immediate Chinese translation in the video, but they actually left a lot of things out. (They also did this with what Javi and Denis said.) So it's great to be able to get a full translation :)

I hope no one will miss interpret my intention of what I am going to post. And I hope this will not be perceived as jugdemental statement. I truly wish that someone who Yuzuru respect could talk to him that many times winning is not everything and there are more things to life than winning or being on the top. Of course everybody love to win, but this kind of sentiment also give a lot of pressure and expectation ; as well as cause one to ignore many great things.

May be this is why I will never become a top athlete ;) , who am I to judge anyway.

Actually I think loosing to Javi this time is a big lesson to him. And Javi is his training mate. I think it's good for him in the long term.
Anyways he said this after the competition it seems.

Failure or not depends on perspective of people. Failure is not the opposite of success, but a part of it. If you do not fail, you might not notice a lot of things. To skate a program, even one thing won’t be wasted.

I also think that while aggressiveness and competitiveness are needed in competitive sports, too much to them can pull him down. He'll have to learn how to control these feelings and accept results even when they are unsatisfactory (which I think will be difficult). He's still young and it'll probably be through life experiences which he'll mature and understand that it is impossible to win everything, even plushenko never managed to win EVERY single event he took part in. So it'll take time, but I believe yuzu will be able to learn from past experiences.

Edit: we're almost at p. 1250! Too bad we didn't manage to reach it within the worlds though!

NOOOOOoOoOOOOoOOOoOOOoO  :drama: I'll do my prayer circle

Hahaha, I actually love his POTO. The best POTO I have ever seen, especially this time - a frustrated, desperate, and passionate phantom. There is no question about his love to POTO as he has clearly stated so several times. He used to have RJ2.0, so I feel that it is possible that he would have a POTO 2.0 for 2018. Just my guess.

I'm starting to worry about my ihys, I am starting to feel it a bit already that it'd be with me throughout the off-season period ! See? Watching yuzu won't make my condition better, it makes it worse!

but yuzu, please rest well and get healthy! Hope the next season would be less dramatic!
