Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

Yes, that was painful to watch. It wasn't just the 4Lo, he fell on other quads too. I'm doubtful that he's going to have the "redemptive" skate he desires at WTT. Sigh. Wish he could just rest and then get back in shape quietly at the Cricket Club.

On a more upbeat note - funny that Brian joined the boys on the couch! And it was nice that he sat next to Yuzu instead of Javi.
maybe he won't, but if he manages to land the 4T at least he'll feel better, probably...

So many jokes and lies about Yuzuru are flowing into the Internet like Twitter now because April-Fool's Day just started one hour ago in Japan. Don't believe in them easily:biggrin:

I'd like to think that he'll take it easy and the fact that neither Javi or Denis are participating might take a bit of pressure off his shoulders. With less pressure he might me able to deliver like he wants (I'm under the impression that the reason he misses his 4S is because he focusew too much on it, since he lands them left and right at practice).
And Brian sitting with him, he probably felt Yuzuru needed the moral support the most, he is such an understanding coach with all his skaters.

Though it might be part of the reason, I don't think he's going just because he wants a redemptive skate.....He got a lot of flak from some people in the previous years for not attending WTT while others had to even though both times he was badly injuried and had a legitimate reason to skip out. This time, he's Japan's #1 skater, and while he's had many injuries this season, he is now in "okay" condition. He knows his fans might understand and probably even the JSF, but it doesn't look too good in the general publics eye if he skips again....especially now that Daisuke/Mao is retired. The con's outweigh the pro's. Its better if he attends, now that I'm thinking about it. Just hope he doesn't overexert himself and take things easy......have some fun and relax

Yes, he mentioned it too: he doesn't want to finish this season having the feeling I lost a title to someone (even if it's Javi), feeling like a loser as well (as having a regret he couldn't perform complete programs.) A silver medal must be a medal for a loser in his dictionary:laugh:

I remember his PW in the first programme at Olympics. You remember this SP on Sochi in Team Competition? (NBC commentary)

I hope you enjoy it !

Sigh ...

If this is what it takes for him to settle, so be it. He needs a closure for this season.

Although he admits he has limits, he won’t accept them until he runs into a brick wall. I do feel he matures from what he has been through this season. However, he is only 20, extremely stubborn, competitive and ambitious. With his pride and ego, it won’t be easy for him to make peace with any loss or disappointing performance. He is highly intelligent and he sure knows “lack of forbearance in small matters upsets great plans”. The hard part is to accept that some matters are not always so big.
I won’t count on anybody to change his mind, as he seems to be among the people who can only be persuaded by themselves, and it takes time. I just pray that he won’t get injured again, or prolong the time he needs to fully recover.

See, being his fan is so contradictive…on one side, he shines so brilliantly because the way he burns, and that’s how he touches me the most; on the other side, I am so, so worried that he could burn out sooner than he should last…

 I am worried the same, that he is trying too hard. But seriously this season Yuzuru couldn't avoid WTT anymore. You can see the tickets have been sold out except the day he will not be there. :hopelessness: is there anyway for JSF to spare him this time? I'm Afraid no. :bang:
Even V/M still had to compete at WTT anyways. :drama: Skate Canada didn't spare their OMG at all you can see.
I simply hope that since this competition is just a fun event, Yuzuru can actually enjoy himself most of the time.

You are making me cry with this thought... Such a beautiful but also painful way to put it.

Is this a joke....Yuzuru in skirt ? I haven't seen this before. I hope you like it!

Its from The Ice 2012. I hope he will do something like this again someday (not exactly dancing in a skirt but something fun and crazy ::biggrin:: )

Looking forward to WTT :yay:

EDIT: Ah yes Yuzuki lol, I actually like Yuzuki a lot so I wont mind if "she" make an appearance again

Oh dear Meoima, I think you may have worried too much and let the worries drain you already. Although I worry about him (who wouldn't - and look at his mom - regardless in the pictures or the videos I never saw her smile. She always wears this worrying look more or less), and pay more attention to serious discussions on his skating and situations (as I am an older fan), still being his fan should not be negative or miserable. It is natural to feel the pain for someone you care about, but staying positive, warm and cheerful is the best support we can offer to this young man. Don’t forget it is him who has inspired us so much!

Oh it is my bad...I usually do not let out my worries here...and I am very positive about him despite the worries.

Right before GPF, I posted here saying that I woke up that morning and felt very good about him. And right before the WCs, I posted again that I felt good about him. Shall I get a little credit on my intuition? :)

He will go through the ups and downs like anybody else (I like those two British fanboys but I do not like that they called him "God"). I am positive that he will use his talents and his body appropriately, with some lessons to learn and adjustments to make.
