Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

Edit: I watched Yuzuru's FS again and I still giggle at Chris with the mini-Pooh in the K&C, it's just too adorable. Bless him. :laugh2:

Me too! Now every time I watch Yuzu's FS I cannot help look at that pooh at K&C! It's just so cute and it's really a reflection of what I would be doing if I were there.:laugh2: Good job, Reed!

Can I just say that I am having great fun reading earlier discussions from this thread...the whole fortune teller/soup eater discussion followed by the (lack of) pregnancy talk has been a highlight so far, hahahaha. So thanks for the entertainment, guys:biggrin::biggrin: !! Now I'll go back and read some more :).

So, the season has come to an end. Time for Yuzu to take a "real" break!! He still has to have that follow on surgery, rest/recover from that….before he starts a new journey again. Here is my recent blog post. I will still try to post some entries during the off season, hope you will enjoy those too.

Time for us fans to take a mental break as well…to recharge for next season - what is promising to be an AMAZING ride - with Plushenko and Chan back!! While they are "older"…..they still have admirable talent, so it's never safe to count them out!! Of course, Go Yuzu Go!! :)

I love your posts and am always looking forward to Sunday mornings when I'll be able to read new postay from you:)
I'm surprised at plushenko for deciding to go back to competitive skating... HE'S SETTING SUCH A BAD EXAMPLE FOR YUZU when he's the one who asked yuzu to take care of his health first!!!

Yuzu is crazy enough sometimes already when it comes to care little about his health (pardon me for using the word crazy please! )..... hope he doesn't learn this from plushenko

Edit: yuzu has been spotted fixing his pants ... lols ~

Thank you very much!! ❤️

Unlike Plushy, Yuzu seems to be very set in his decision to retire after Peongchang in 2018. He is already talking in terms of life after retirement, which is so sad....but as long as he retires on his own terms (which in his mind is "on top of the podium), then I will be happy for him!!

I don't want to be selfish and say "Don't retire, Yuzu!" but I will support him. Hopefully we well have Shoma and Sota to cheer for.

I will say it, Don't retire Yuzu!! #sorrynotsorry. Just kidding. I hope Yuzu does what is right for himself and doesn't let anyone else sway his decision. He didn't want to retire after Sochi because he still wanted to have the 2 perfect performances, and wasn't happy with his LP in Sochi, so, if he makes a small bobble in 2018, maybe he will be motivated to stay a bit longer. Hahaha, just kidding.

Three more years is lots...but it will go so quickly i'm sure....

No pairs and dance? If I'm going to be critical of JSF in something is the way they act toward pairs and Ice dance

In the past, the team exhibition numbers have included all eight skaters. Pairs and dancers were not left out.

No need to jump to any conclusions about this year's team exhibition numbers, IMO.

I'm so determined so to see Yuzuru skate...and hopefully meet him lol. Fingers crossed he'll do Skate America.

This is the WTT FS from a different angle that Japanese TV broadcast, including a good shot of the "bye-bye" to Christine. It amazes me how he can avoid zayaking and be so absorbed into his choreography too!

I find it that I can only really enjoy his performance after the fact; I stream it live all the time but I am so so nervous that I can hear my own beating heart pounding away!

:cheer:This "bye bye" has brought FS in WTT to be NO.1 performance of the season for me!

Haven't posted here in a while....oops. Anyway, about Ice Dance, this may be the last time we get to see the Reeds as they've apparently broken up.

I hope after this Yuzu takes a long rest. This season has been quite difficult to say the least.
