Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

He threw it too far. I don't believe he is a good pitcher as Kurt has mentioned: http://hanyuedits.tumblr.com/post/116915299392/yuzu-threw-one-of-the-signed-balls-to-the-higher

 To be fair, how long has it been since he played baseball? lol

Anyways, I finally had the time to watch his performances and....it literally took my breath away :drama: At the end of his FP, you could see just how much he needed that clean skate...Brian's face said it all, he knew just how much that performance meant to Yuzuru. I felt it through the screen, it was like a mountain was lifted off his chest and he could finally breath again. :hopelessness: Hopefully he can put this season behind and start anew, with less regret and a lighter heart.

Also, did anyone else get a different feeling from his SP this time around? I don't know how to explain it...it felt heavier, almost darker than his usual SP. I'll have to watch it again and see if I can put it properly into words. But watching it back to back with his FP made me tear at the end of it. (And seeing Cathy cry just made the tears flow )

But he is the best pitcher in Team Japan . I came across a gif before of Yuzu, Dai and Kozuka opening pitching, but cannot find it now. Kana has also done opening pitch.

I find it is interesting that they invited figure skater to do opening pitch or kick at a match :cheer:. Yuzu also did opening kick for a soccer match before.

Do you meant the Chopin SP or gala PW SP?

I'm rewatching Team Japan gala performance again, lovely piece by the team.

There was something else beautiful about Yuzu's performance besides the way Yuzu stands before the music starts and the glorious ina bauer. However, I could not put put my finger on it. Then I read this comment by youtuber Marsh Maro on Yoshida Brother's Storm video "Those crossovers Yuzu did before being right on note for the ina bauer!! Didn't know crossovers could be so BEAUTIFUL!!"

That's it :points:

Thank you so much. Actually there are so many false information in this "interview" I think people should notice and do not get panic either on Yuzuru side or Denis side.

1) The music incident was in the SP, not LP. In the interview it was said "free skate music" right, this is definitely not true. How come Denis himself doesn't know his own music and his own program? It seems as if the reporter invented the story.

2) And it was not "wrong music", it's his music, it was turned up in the middle, not from the beginning. So the description in the interview was not the same as what happened in the reality.

3) In the interview it said Denis used two different skating boots at Sochi because someone broke his blade.
But last year Denis himself explained that the reason was him breaking his blade during one of the competitions before Sochi. My Russian friend remembers the case and she told me exactly what Denis talked about the boot, so it's not anyone fault at all. How can you tell A to the press last year, then this year you tell B? That doesn't seem right.
I think Denis was misquoted or someone twisted his words. Typical bad journalism.

4) My Russian friend told me she has asked 3-4 friends of her and they all call MK (the site publish this article) as pure rubbish. Much worse than Daily Mail in UK.

5) My Russian friend also said: It was republished by MK in 17th. If the article were trustworthy, it would have already become headline in Russia. Today it's 20th already and no big site touched it.

6) Oh please China and Japan are not that close. If you know the political wind here in East Asia you have to understand: These countries don't love each other. JSF has no influence over Chinese Fed in China. It was Chinese Fed who organized the event, remember?
So I hope this case is closed now.:)

I was told by someone that Chinese Skating Fed purposely messed up with Denis' music because both China and Kaz are competing for the right to host OG:shrug: So it is not surprising for me that some people actually do believe that there was a collusion between JSF and CSF, even though it seems irrational.

Gosh! can we just stop all these speculating, conspiracy theories, unfounded rumours that do not have basis at all :bang:. Next time we will hear the Spanish Skating Federation purposely messed the music since the champion is Javi :rolleye::disapp:.

I feel so sad every time I see someone saying bad things about him!
I know he isn't perfect (and doesn't have to be.) But I don't think he is arrogant at all! He's always so humble and thankful to everyone supporting him.
For a lot of people he is just a pretty face (and body), but for some other, he represents a light of hope! He is always concerned to send a positive message to the people from his hometown who are suffering.

I agree with you. :)
For me Yuzuru is a hero for fighting very hard in skating and in life since he was child but also has a very special soul.
And I am very happy for his performances at WTT. And his PW in Ex was outstanding.
If you want to see his Ex https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZFROWbQyIY

This reminds me of pre-worlds when tabloids were saying that Yuzu was so heartbroken because of his girlfriend that he couldn't train/go back to Canada....lol

Denis is not the type of guy to say that kind of stuff especially to reporters and Yuzuru is definitely not the type of guy to do/accept that sort of thing so lets just drop this, yeah? Plus Japan and China are not on "friendly" terms let alone conspiring terms :rolleye:

Girlfriend?

I agree with you all that he just doesn't seem like the type for these kinds of mindgames etc...

No the tabloid did not say he was heart broken, it's wrong translation. The word they used can be understood as "lost the mind". Apparently it seemed the tabloid said he was suffering some kind of huge depression and he lost his competitive spirit :drama:.

Seeing him so aggressive at Shanghai, that was definitely not the case. Yuzuru lost his competitive mind? In their dream.

And yes, China and Japan are not on "friendly" term at all. Who ever thinks they "help" each other so must be delusional. Here in East Asia we are just praying that they don't kill each other. :disapp: Honestly living near these 2 countries is kinda scary for us. I only want to live peacefully so I hope they will not put more aggressiveness in their "relationship". :slink:

Girlfriend?
Oops lol, Meoima corrected me. But still, ridculous none the less.

Yeah, people around me talk as if China and Japan could break out in war at anytime....anyone who thinks the federations would conspire together so a figure skater from Japan could win a specific color medal is kidding themselves. :rolleye:

Haha, no problem...I just thought that must have been one well-hidden girlfriend:biggrin:!

 Has Beijing got the right for hosting Olympic 2022 yet? Who ever think of this is so delusional.

Yes and that's why you guys should pray for me. Every week we see news like there are conflicts in the sea area and we are like: :drama: God save us!

I want to live in peace and watch FS in peace as well. I am not rich enough to move to any other country far away from China and Japan.

Okay I am over-dramatic a bit but honestly sometimes I have that kind of thoughts. Ya know I am a coward. :slink:
