Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

Thank you ^^~ Actually i have followed this thread since long loooong time ago, i read all the posts from the first to most recent ones.
Funny thing is the drapery on the back is the thing that made me love this costume, i don't know why. I even made a custom dress with the upper part exactly copying this costume. Lol

Yay! Our thread is expanding recently! Welcome!:cheer:

I love most (if not all) of his costumes since circa 2011-2012 season. Although, I would love to see him in something green in future :)

I like almost all hanyu-san's costume too, i especially mesmerized by the costume for bolero, it's like a peacefull night sky filled with brilliant stars.
And many say they don't favoriting the time traveler ex costume because it emphasized his slouch and made him look like he had boobs. But i happen to be one that's very loving this costume when he was skating the program in it, altho i have to admit he looked slouched more in it too when he was not skating.
Then i compare his posture in the gala between the one in gpf 2014 and wc 2015, it looked like he slouched more in wc. Could it be because maybe after the surgery he gained some weight or simply could not do training so that his abdomen looked fuller and he tried to hide it by slouched more?
His tummy is still flatter than super model. I think the reason for the slouch is his lack of training and stamina. He clear lacks stamina after all the injuries and surgery. No time to train enough and fix te posture. He clearly looked better at WTT but still super tired I think.

Personally, I love that Yuzuru includes the Biellmann spin in his programmes. It destabilises stereotypes of 'femininity' and 'masculinity'. For me, those are just conventions and shouldn't be accepted as bounded and rigid categories. If he does take them out, I hope because he realises the impact on his back and not because of people think that it doesnt conform to ideals of masculinity.

I agree completely :).

100% agree with you!
I LOVE seeing male skaters doing Biellmann, and Yuzuru's is beautiful. But then again, if he decides to drop it one day because it causes too much problems to his back, I'd approve. Better to have the boy safe and healthy.

It's such a pity there isn't any cake emoji because I'd give you one now :) Completely agree with you.
I like it that Yuzu is so unconventional and stands out with his beautiful costumes and skating style that matches them. It's like no stereotypes mean anything to him while beauty is a main priority. His somewhat androgynous style dragged me to Men's figure skating, he's just captivating to watch. He has all set of qualities that allow him to pull special and versatile programs. I hope he doesn't rush too much to change his style into pure masculine as he grows up and sticks to his original style a little longer.
I remember the moment when I fell in love with his Final Time Traveller blue costume, to me he looked like a fairy  I was lucky enough to watch his EX live in Barcelona, it was very impressive. The atmosphere of the venue immediately turned into that of a fairy tale. The contrast he exhibits in his progs is very refreshing.

I like the way you think. And I agree completely

I am very close to Lethbridge. No matter whether he goes or not, I may choose to go to Skate Canada. But the ice rink at Lethbridge is quite small as I recall.

Me too. It`s a beautiful costume.
As for the blue costume for Time traveler, I like colour, long sleeves and flowers on it.

You mean the one he wore for story ex and hana wa saku ?
yeah:bang:

I think Yuzuru should choose Skate America, just to start feeling the ambient and fans in preparation for worlds in Boston. NHK is a given.

I think he will pick Skate Canada.
