Although I'm 99.99% sure he'll choose NHK, I would like him to choose another event since he's already won gold there once. Although I don't think he would have much of a choice, anyway, aside from the convenience of skating at home. Javi would probably choose SC and maybe TEB, leaving SA (likely to choose), CoC (big fat no, please), CoR (already won) and NHK to Yuzuru.

I think Yuzuru should choose Skate America, just to start feeling the ambient and fans in preparation for worlds in Boston. NHK is a given.

I think he will pick Skate Canada.

I feel like I'd better get tickets for Skate Canada ASAP, at least for men's competitions, since I have this weird feeling that he might choose Skate Canada.

Love the way he led Cathy final ovation, good boy :agree:. When they revealed him with the mask at K&C FS, I thought he also wearing a cape. But it was actually the Japan flag draped over his shoulder...looks convincing enough in my eyes . The image of him looking in the mirror is him practicing 4S in front of the mirror from a documentary after WTT.

Yuzu has a dry sense of humor sometimes, too funny the way he imitated the ladies at K&C after his SP. This got me thinking his WTT gala ex could be an exhibition of "his Sochi SP from the time he skated into the rink, cross, rituals, serious face, a killer slight smile then bam the perfect skate"...it would be hilarious if a sign World Record 101.45 appeared. Of course this is just me imagining, but gosh I was squealing when he landed all his jumps...a perfect ending to a challenging season.

Hardly, JSF almost ever give/ask the biggest star to go to NHK, is a ticket/marketing tool. Beside Yuzuru get´s home advantange.

Just look at Daisuke he took NHK 8 years in a row. Mao did it 4 years in a row.

No no, guys, I want him to come back to TEB, he didn't win last time against Patrick, this is a chance for him, lol! Well, no matter we'll see where he'll go in a few months only. If he doesn't go to TEB, I'll see where else if I can travel. If not, I'll wait until he is qualify for GPF (he has to, lol!) to book a trip for Barcelona.

I think it would be hard for Shoma to win his GP even if Yuzuru is not there because he would compete against either Javi or Denis and maybe even Patrick. Though it would be best for him to compete against Denis IMO since he's known for peaking late in the season. But who would be most likely to go to NHK? I would think Yuzu since he's the star :scratch:

In 2011, first year Yuzuru was a senior, he was in NHK with Daisuke, so maybe NSF will choose both for the GP.

So it's actually up to JSF who they'll pick (though if a few hosts were to pick the same skater as their first choice, I suppose it'd up to the skater?) and I think there's zero chance they won't pick Yuzuru.

I suppose NHK will pick Yuzuru, TEB will pick Javier and Russia or China will pick Denis. Then, I guess the skaters choose the next one. Javier then might pick SA to avoid Patrick (I assume Patrick will get SC) so Yuzuru might choose between SC, CoR/CoC (whichever Denis's won't go to) and he might want to either avoid Patrick or practice against Patrick, who knows, lol.

My prediction would be: Javier TEB and SA, Yuzuru NHK and SC, and Denis CoR and CoC.

The top 2 skaters (Javi and Yuzuru) at Worlds get to choose both of their events and the 3rd (Denis) gets the remaining since the medalists can't overlap. But as far as I know, these skater's choices are the priority. Though I'm pretty sure that big federations can ask their own skaters to pick certain events.
I'm not sure as of how the rest of the skaters selection works but I think there is where the host countries pick (though 4, 5 and 6 at Worlds can't be at the same event).

I'd prefer Yuzuru over Javier for TEB (I know I know I said that tons of time already sorry lol), but I quite like your prediction as well. Seeing Javier live would be great, I love him.

But we'll see what the skaters will pick. Actually, the idea of Javier picking TEB is not bad. Beside, it is not far from Spain as well, if he wanna go see his family or if his family will travel to see him.

Are you sure? chuckm here seemed pretty adamant about who/what have the priority as to picking... According to him/her, it's host pick first, skaters second, and as I said I don't think there's any chance that Yuzuru won't be NHK's first pick.
