Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

I think he will have a 3quad LP by 2018 and that he will need it to win his second gold. I am sure his coaching team has devised a training regimen over this quad for him to build the necessary strength and stamina. The schedule may have been thrown off last season for reasons we all know too well. As some have pointed out, there may be failure aka "bombings" along the way, but I believe he will by hard work and determination eventually reach that desired condition. As precedent, I recall his SA 2012 LP where he didn't yet have the strength and stamina for an LP stuffed with transitions and two quads and triple axel combinations but now has shown himself capable of the same.

I am also glad that he is in Toronto this early to train eschewing an awarding ceremony in the process. Never hurts to have an early start.

Lastly, thanks to all those who posted updates and links and welcome to the new posters. :)

Really cool fan-made video about Yuzu's ENTIRE season, including the off season.

OMG! this is awesome . Thank you for sharing, there are some clips which I've not seen before.

Such a busy off season he had after the Olympic followed by the challenging season with the collision/injuries/lack of training etc. Despite all the setbacks he continued to remain positive and had definitely conquered his walls of challenges. I am very proud of him :cheer:.

Very much so! He really made it!

I'm sooo happy that he can join criket's camp, from which he was absent last year.
It's important for preparing next season and making strategy.

Welcome Lys and ficelle! :cheer:

Welcome! We all need your support too so Do post often and talk with us abt yuzu!

Nice to see new posters joining us during off-season. Last year since he did so many shows we were able to survive this "trying time" :laugh2: better, but since he is practicing his ninja skills to the max this year and rightly doing less shows, we all need each other's support!

Not very glad to hear the news that he's already in Toronto training. I hope he can get more rest:cry: a newspaper said he will go back to japan in late May for ice shows. I guess he will participate in faoi and doi? That means he will still work without break until July...

Well, I think they won't try to work yuzu too hard, I also think that it's probably better for yuzu to train back in Toronto since it's really a long time ever since he had proper training with borser and he is so prone to overwork himself !

Actually at this point I have a lot of trust in him to know what's best. He has always said that each competition is like a lesson, and he learns from them to go forward. Well, after this season I bet he now knows just how important those "old-fashion training time" and staying healthy are; Javi put in the time and work and stayed healthy and got the payoff.

i really love this program, i do hope to see this program again with its original layout (the spreadeagles 3a) in the future :) )

I too wish he could have rested more after wtt but if training this early is what he really wants and needs then i just hope that he will remain healthy and injury free. that is all i want for him :).
