Tbh I don't get it. I was in Barcelona mostly because of Yuzuru and I was so exited to see him live and in such great form that I didn't expect from him any gratitude....LOL in fact we fans should be glad that he's still skating and sharing his talent with us :D

The point is even when he was being very polite, nodded to them in exhaustion, even walked backwards to look at them, one fan still made a fuss in Facebook as she thought he should smile sweetly to her or something. And she accused Yuzuru of being cold, only acted well to Japanese fans... Something like that which is very unfair.
From the gif file it was so clearly that he was very tired, yet he still accepted their gifts and nodded to them, even said something (maybe "thank you" in Japanese, but it was too fast to notice).

The gif is 6.15 mb... I gave up. It's too heavy to be played on some computers.

Strange enough, it did not work first time. But, it worked after retried from the link of the thread.
Thank you for sharing.

Yuzuru looked tired, but still very polite. He never be indifferent to his fans, excepting the time when he is too concentrating. Fans should refrain from disturbing him at that time, if they are real fans. He is an athelete. That's what we should not forget, I believe.

Oh, We are totally safe, in Kanto area, by the way. I heard an old man was injured in Tohoku, but not so serious. We had a smaller earthquake again in Kanto area in the evening. But nothing serious either. If no tsunami coming, Japan is rather quake resistant :agree:
Thank you for your kind consideration always.

I don't understand how people can be accusing Yuzuru for his attitude toward fans. He's always so thankful to be supported like this.... And I would be curious to know how would they deal with the amount of fans if they were at his place
And it's totally wrong he only acts well to Japanese fans... I had the chance to meet him once and have a little talk, he was really kind, making no difference between the Japanese around me, and the little (lost) french girl I was...

She's lame. Pearl-clutching.

Yeah, I know. But for me is just weird...some so called "fans" are treating him more like idol than athlete....How can you be upset that world class athlete after his training didn't smile to you? Even more...How can you expect him to smile for you? It's not like his job is to please his fans.

As a student athlete, I treat him as an athlete first. Because I want him to be able to do well and be successful (Though he already is, but I think you get my point) first. Like I would not want to bother them unless I see they're taking a break. I rather have them succeed than letting them interact with me.

Some fans are just stupid and refuse to understand. That's unfortunate, but all famous people, whether it's Yuzuru or someone else, have their share of brainless fans. I'm not being rude, but just stating a fact.

It's so obvious that he's exhausted in the GIF. Seriously, wow. I know he wasn't going to, but he clearly looked like he was going to drop. Poor baby.

So good that you managed to talk to him! Did he take your breath away from you?

I really hope yuzu doesn't hear what these haters say about him, and I really want to show them the gif shared above and see how they react!

An overview of a skater daily routine by Tracy Wilson. Yuzu was shown at 2:40min when they touched regarding competition.

Interestingly the info shared by the Skate Canada Director, he said "..when there is a competition, the best we can do is to stay away. You know, they the athlete all have a plan by their coaches of what or how they are going to carry through the training day or the competitive day".

This incident is definitely a good lesson learned to us as fans.

Yes at first, I was a bit cowed and speechless I must say... (+ the japanese fans and TV staring at me like "what's this?") but it was a really nice moment !

Thanks for sharing ! Would be good to show it to all the people saying figure skating "is not a sport" !!

It does sound like a really nice moment and probably what we might want to be in the most, besides witnessing yuzu skating perfectly and being happy!

We should find some kind of ritual to make him come in France (prays to the Pooh lord, lol!) That, or we go to Barcelona. Or both. Or maybe Finlandia Trophy in October? (if he can participate this year, he likes going there)

YES for a Pooh Ritual
I'm waiting the releasing of the GP entries, but I think I will seriously consider Barcelona... But this will depend on how my exams go  :slink:
Fingers crossed!!

Same here. I honestly think that Javi will go to TEB (since he couldn't last season) unless there's unexpected change, but yes, let's just wait for the GP entries.
I will not be surprised if GPF will turn out to be the best solution, lol!
