Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

I thought FaOI Kobe is not until July 4/5? It will be broadcast July 11th. Before than there is FaOI in Kanazawa (June 26-28) but will not broadcast. There will be other special singers/artists there so somehow I don't see him performing SEIMEI at those shows.

I'm pretty sure Hanyu-san will do Finlandia before the GP this year; he was pretty bummed out that he couldn't do it last year.

This may be of some help, althogh it is in Japanese, partly English.

I'm a bit frustrated because Fuji TV placed the Dreams on Ice after the midnight of SUNDAY 25:25 - 26:55  Almost 3 o'clock in the morning!

Why, Fuji TV  !? It's not a live, but a recorded one. They should have scheduled it 2 hours earlier at least. I have to go to work on Monday! But I cannot wait to see it till the evening of Monday through recording. NO WAY!!

So, I decided to take some nap in the Sunday afternoon :p

(This program will be re-broadcasted on 18 July 19:00-20:55 at BS Fuji)

It might be so. I don’t know the other program that he will do than the one by the collaboration with the gest singer…

I also anticipate yuzu will entry into Finlandia Trophy with a high possibility. Then, we can finally see the full version of LP (but it’s too far…) and of course SP.

What about SP? When will it show up?

As a point of reference, this past season, we knew about the Chopin SP at DOI, but we didn't get news about POTO until early August, when all the TV stations broadcast the same footage of him training that program in Toronto.

So even though I am super impatient, I kept reminding myself that we do not know the program/music choice of most top men yet, including Javi and Nam. :)

Yes, it's been mentioned that his best grades were in science classes, especially math. :) He does look like the stereotype of nerd with his glasses on. But he's so cute with glasses. Really suit him well.

I agree he looks adorable with glasses! What is his area of study now? I seem to remember something about sports science. Does he ever attend classes or is it all online?

Wasn't it something with cognitve sciences? My memory betrays me

Wikipedia says Human Informatics and Cognitive Sciences. Have no idea what Human Informatics is... and this mean he is getting two minors?

Most colleges require you to declare a Major in order to graduate, so I'm guessing his would be Cognitive Science? Then again, I'm not familiar with Japanese education/programs

Thank you for the link :)

I agree with you and I also wonder if and how much he toned it down: the rink was really small, it seemed to me he was more worried not to fall out the rink than anything else
The Choreo sequence looks great, tho :)

wow, how he did that quad sal almost from no speed and short preparation

I think this program is going to be epic. It has great style

I really like the first part and the idea behind the choreo sequence, but I agree that the part where the music slows down is a bit empty and I also feel he needs to find his timing on a few elements like the first spin, that was a bit out of synch with the beat of the music, and the step preceding and following the hydroblade which seemed rushed IMO.

Still I really like the music and it seems apparent to me Yuzu this time is already able to really emote the mood of the music... I feel it could become one of his best free ever

ahhhhhh i love it already!! thanks!
i wasnt sure about ina bauer at 1st but it really fits the music, when he open his arms and all  and its weird to see him fall on axel
btw looking at the layout (probably not decided yet ) but will he be crazy enough to put 3A at the end ??

I'm really loving the feel of the program.

I agree with all the points above. :agree: I think the change for the slow part went quite abruptly, I wonder how the program will look with the upbeat part that wasn't shown. I remember that by june of last year I was a bit on the fence with Chopin, I thought it was lacking something too, but it turned out to be my favourite program of his. I think SEIMEI looks really promising.

i agree, but i think thats the fast part where stsq is suppose to be but they cut that part so it seems like a bad music cut , at least i hope thats the reason :laugh:as jace already mentioned the timing isnt there yet for the jumps like after flip and overall but i am really hopefull

But then there will be a fast stsq before the 3rd quad? I'm conflicted.

yeah, he planned that layout last year as well, 2nd 4T was supposed to be at 2nd half and he said he plans the same thing this year  but placement of stsq is just my guess, maybe there will be another spin

I guess it will be like this: 4S 4T 3F combination spin step sequence 4T2T 3A3T.... Choreo sequence combination spin end.
But they haven't decided the final jump layout.
