Yuzuru Hanyu: 2014-15 Season

As one of yuzurus fans,I think that yuzuru does not much care about that thing these days.

because he definitely KNOWS that there are lots of lots his fans who are always cheering for him,
love/admire him anytime anywhere in japan and more than 90%(I assume) FS fans will support
both Dai and Yuzu, of course all Team Japan members as well.

So we should not take it too serious. I mean that we will see such crazed fans everywhere in this world nowadays.
there is no end if we start worrying about it because they will never disappear. I suppose:yes:

I can just say, that I'm proud of being his fan, and I don't fear of saying that to other fans as well!!
It got me quite some scary glances at FaoI in Makuhari (since I was sitting in between a horde of Daisuke fans), and I was telling my friend afterwards, that japanese figure skating fans are even more scary than japanese idol fans! But right there at that moment I though that they had every right to look unfriendly at me, since I'm foreign an about half of their age - thus standing out, even if just a bit :)

And for me it wasn't rude or anything what hanyu-kun said during the p&g talks. Fact is he DID win that medal and it wasn't like he was smearing it into dai-chan's face... And in he's still not talking big about himself! He's always telling where he wants to improve and that he's not perfect yet. which in a way can also be seen as being a bit boastful, because I mean acording to his medals he IS the best out there, but the way he's talking doesn't make this impression on me!

Sorry for opening that very sensitive can of worms, everyone!

The night show started, apparently this time he had a wobbly 3A, 4T fall, only jumped the 3Lz by itself. Almost like the broadcast! Some people say that the step sequence is better/smoother -and maybe even a bit changed- from the broadcasted DOI version. I'm guessing this is because Jeff/Orser was there :)

Not many pictures yet, but here is one: Let it Go

I hope they recorded the first show, not this one ?

im not talking about the whole fandom in general but there were some die hard fans that really ticked me off big time.

it happened when we were celebrating for the yuzudai/daizuru pics and vids. my habits are searching on twitter for news of yuzu, then i found out that some "fans" were hostile about the whole thing.
All the top skaters have insane "ubers" like that, although some more than others. There is no reasoning with them. Hanyu could find a cure for cancer, put an end to all war and poverty... he could be the most humble guy on earth... he could be the reincarnation of Buddha, or the 2nd coming of Jesus Christ... the ubers would STILL find some reason to criticise.

Don't get angry. Just ignore them - don't even bother to read their poisonous messages.

I try not to waste my time engaging in any kind of dialogue with them... but if you must - I encourage everyone to remain cool, unemotional, and factual. Don't let them drag you down to their level... don't become just like them - just on the opposite side of the fence. Because people like that only make their idol look bad, by association... and we don't want to make Hanyu look bad, do we?

Exactly. What YesWay said. Haters gonna hate, nothing you can do about that. If someone has irrational reasons for disliking someone, a rational discussion won't do you any good. How do you counter "I hate him, because."? That's right, you don't. You just ignore it and try not to get the bitchy bug yourself, because this kind of attitude is sometimes contagious and leads to a very unhealthy spiral of displeasure. Don't know about you, but personally I like my pleasures without the dis

This blogger says (18:30, 18:53) that Sendai local TV is broadcasting a special program about Yuzuru today, where Ballad No. 1 with a successful 4T was aired. I wonder which one it is. DOI? or FaOI this time?

Oh, I want to see it

Edit: I could see DOI on Fuji ONE (CS) today, where the performance of Ryuju and Keiji was aired. This was a digest version the other day on the regular Fuji TV maybe due to commercials. I hope it will be uploaded soon.

Here is SportTime program from Sendai TV this afternoon. Yes, Yuzu landed 4T, but the combination was not completed yet.

DOI. FaOI does'nt still on air.

I asked some Dai fans. They told me that some fans began to have some words against Yuzu since 2012 sochi gpf. Yuzu was ranked 3rd in SP after P-Chan and Dai - 5 points behind the 1st. When answering the reporters about how he felt, he said that 5 points was not that bad, at least better than the situation of Dai in NHK (Dai was 8 points behind Yuzu at NHK that season). This statement had stirred quite a noise among those Japanese reporters. Some even asked him in private if it is ok to publish all his words, he replied no problem, publish them all (reminding me of his S-personality again...).

After sochi gpf LP, Yuzu was ranked 2nd overall behand P-Chan. In the press con, right in front of P-Chan and Dai (3rd place), he said he was disappointed that he didn't win in either SP or LP, but in a little more than 1 year, he will be back onto the same ice rink (i.e., sochi Olympics) and win 1st in both SP and LP.

If you watch carefully, this video is actually a combination of both his DOI performances. They edited the quad from the 1st performance (which was recorded and only shown in snippets) into the 2nd performance that was broadcasted.

Could you please share a link to this gpf press-con? couldn't find it on youtube

I have to say that Dai fans who around me are really nice parsons.
To tell the truth, they were even pleased with Yuzuru receiving an OGM at Sochi.
so I don’t wanna blame them aaaat all (I knda feel sorry for daisuke fans here)

by the way, one of the reasons why I am following this forum is, I think, most people who posted here
are thoughtful, open-minded and kind, to even such me who am weak in English.

I bet Yuzuru is one lucky boy who has so many great overseas fans. he should be proud of it :agree:

Thank you echotpe :yay:

I think this is an edited version. Maybe the 4T is from the first day, and the other was of the second day which almost all of us on this thread have already seen. According to the twitter reports, he fell 4T both shows on the second day of DOI.

Eagle to 3A, 4T, 3Lz3T (this girl thought it was 2T, others say 3T)

6/28 Afternoon
3A, 4T fell, 3Lz3T. a bit stumbled at the steps, with small oops expression, tilted his head a bit at the end.

6/28 Evening (this may be the aired one the other day)
Eagle-3A-Eagle beautifully, 4T a big fall, 3Lz single jump, fine flowing steps, fabulous spins.

Eagle to 3A, 4T, Walley to 3Lz fell forward slightly - 2T attached with guts. Mesmerizing steps catching every tune.

He seems to have succeeded 4T on the last day, but I think the cut is the same one we see on the News.

Anyway I want to see the Toyama one where he succeeded all the jumps :agree:
