Yuzuru Hanyu: 2015-16 Season

I actually don't think yuzuru's health is a big issue. All athletes have injuries and health problems. Compared to other Olympic champs last season, yuzuru's health problems were not as bad. Doctors only asked him to rest for a few weeks and he could resue training after a few weeks. The other Olympic champs also got injured but was told by the doctors to rest for a few months and they had to take the whole season off. The main issue yuzuru faced last season was the loss of training time due to multiple injuries and health problems. But the health issues themselves are not as severe as the health problems the other Olympic champs experienced. I don't think he is physically weaker or less healthy than most athletes. Maybe I'm just optimistic.

I don't think he has any health problems right now. In those practices he looked suuuper fit. I have never seen him more fit to be honest. He nailed clean LP with 3 quads yesterday and he didn't looked even too tired

Good luck Yuzu! That the blessings of God be upon you and make you victorious and happier. Health and much peace to you dear. Your hard work will be rewarded.

Gosh that was a hard routine for him, his math failed him this time. He popped his quad into a double so it was invalidated, and the combo was not good either the 3T was only a 2T, so invalidated as a repeated jump. He only got credit fro the 3A, his TES was quite low  His face was odd at the K&C, not sure if he was surprised with the score, if he expected lower, or if he was mad at himself. Hoping that he'll do better tomorrow, guess he'll be 1st in the second group.

someone who knows more about skating and accompanying Yuzuru more time than I can explain me what happened, sixth?!?

Yuzuru not me appeared very surprised, he looks tired .. slaughtered

I'm just shocked. Please, I don't want to worry about him making GPF again this year :hopelessness:

EDIT: and yeah I agree with Jo he didn't look surprised with the score, just trying to come to terms with what happened/amused at being sixth.

His 3A was perfect, but then he popped his 4T into a 2T, the solo jump must be a quad or triple, so it was invalid. Got 0 points for that.
Then, his 3Lz+3T got turned into a 3Lz+2T, he can't repeat jumping passes in the SP, and he had done a 2T before (even if it was invalid), so 0 points for the combination, too.

In fact, he will be last in the first group...

Oh really? Even if there are 12 guys there? I though it was from 12th to 7th and then 6th to 1st (6 competitors each).
I think it's hard for him not to worry about making the GPF, I mean, he's the defending champion. But hopefully this will spark him and he'll do better tomorrow.
