Yuzuru Hanyu: 2015-16 Season

i googled that anan magazine (you know...for science) and wow
it's very unlikely that yuzu would do a cover that sexy (it would probably be just him standing against a wall smiling like an innocent angel lol) but my mind still went there :peace:

I think most fans here agree that Yuzu is the type of skater that goes out from the basics, and that pushes himself towards something different. Personally, I've never cared about his looks. Yes, he's cute, but his skating skills and presence in the ice is what made me a fan. I like that he strives to be the best, I admire that determination, even if it sometimes makes me worried. I like that everytime he's skating, he manages to make me feel something different. Every single time. It's weird because it's the same program but I don't know how he does it! He's not perfect, but I definitely think that he is doing something good to a sport that a lot of people don't care for anymore. :hap10:

I wonder if that means he is already thinking about adding 4S to short this season in place of 3A at beginning, and moving 3A to the end :eekn:

And replace 3z3t with 4t3t. I bet the success rate can't be lower than the current layout:hap85: that damn lutz:hslap:From last year's coc till now, he has never landed a perfect 3z3t combo in competition

if only there could be a rule change regarding the solo 3A in the SP, (but I can imagine the outcry that a rule change like this will be advantageous to a "certain skater":slink:), is there any rationale why the 3A should be a solo jump in the SP? (i'm sorry if this question should be in the stupid question thread )

So, just for the idiots among us (aka ME :con3:)... on the one side of the rink there are the girls practicing their choreo, and the guys just sitting around like whatever. And while they do that, he just casually practices spread eagle quad sandwiches on the other side? ....sure, why not, that's totally something you can do when you're bored and not normal at all :roll9:

I have a feeling he's going to change his SP by having this spread eagle-4T-spread eagle be the opening jump and move his triple axel into the second half.

But then his layout would be exactly as it was last season, and I don't think he would like to 'go back' instead of pushing forward. Judging by the hand movements afterwards, it was still in the second half (he raises his arms above his head after the second jumping pass). His 3A is also much more reliable to put between spread eagles than his 4T.
Edit: my bad he does them after his 3a ATM, sorry

That being said, I think it may be too much of a risk to change his layout mid season to add a second quad to his SP, but perhaps we could see it next season :)

Owatta!

It was such a stressful trip to Lethbridge with Yuzuru and Elizavetta ending in 6th and 7th places after short program. Both I and my husband were angry, quiet, and nervous till the free skate. And, then bang! Both came back with such skates. During Yuzuru's free skate I was hanging to my husband's arm and shouting the next jump "Quad sal, quad sal, quad sal, ..." then "Quad toe, quad toe, quad toe, ..." and then ... The people around me were like  but I couldn't control it. I am not sure if I want to go and watch any other competition live. Seriously, I need one week rest.

Hello Farnaz!
Thank you for sharing your experience at the SC. You and your husband must be in a lot of excitement and STRESS:hpull: those days.
Good luck with the one week rest. Although sometimes, all it takes is to let it all out...HERE.:peace:

To be honest I feel a bit weird to see him like that :eekn:
But he looks really gorgeous, what is next I wonder....:palmf:
