Yuzuru Hanyu: 2015-16 Season

Just saw a piece of translation of what Yuzu said during his interview with Akiko. And yes, I believe that he reads comments in SNS.

I was super excited when he landed the 3Lz (even more so than 4T3T), not because he had issues with 3Lz since GPF last year, but because 3Lz being the last jump of his program and landing it almost guaranteed a CLEAN FS and that would certainly break the World record on FS and Total score.

I calculated the increase of scores of Yuzuru :
SP-101,45-106,33 - 9,82%
FP-196,75-216,07 - 9,82%
TS- 295,27-322,40 - 9,19%
It remind me the fact that after a fall (Skate Canada, a shock for everyone in SP), almost always is a raise for the ambitious people like Yuzuru.
I am sure that a man who competed in China after that crush, never gave up his dreams and his goal to win the Olympics will be a dream came true.
I remember that I saw Yuzuru at 12 years in a interview when he said he want to win at Olympics in Sochi.

And he won because of his hardworking, and spirit of a samurai.
I think "Seimei" is the most beatiful programme in his career! :luv17:

I have come here to atone.

Admittedly, for years I respected Hanyu as an athlete and a technician, but he wasn't always my favorite. It's more like I gave him props, but didn't love him outright, personally preferring Machida and Chan over the last quad and not quite understanding what all the fuss was about.

That all changed this weekend, when he knocked out not one but TWO perfect performances in delivering quite simply two of the most magnificent men's programs in the history of the world. I mean no hyperbole either when I say that, judging from the score.

His FS music was one he personally chose that truly expressed his artistic side. He always had gorgeous extensions and lines which I enjoyed, but it wasn't until this weekend's FS that I truly saw what a magnificent, fully-developed technician and mature artist he had grown into. I have watched the FS repeatedly this weekend, almost obsessively, and I will enjoy it for many years to come. It is, quite simply, the most engaging FS I've seen all year long, and will likely be my very favourite of the season.

Many congratulations to Yuzuru, Orser and Bourne. May we see more performances like this all season from Yuzu.
