I'm loving the added head movements, especially the one he did during the spread eagle out of the 4S. He be looking at the judges like: "That's right. A spread eagle out of a 4S with 4S out of a spread eagle. I dare ya'll to give me +2's on that one." Congrats on the WR! I have no words. Really, I don't, other than to congratulate him

I wonder if there's a restriction at the GPF about cameras during performances, because I would love to see a fancam on his SP :agree:

OH MY GOD GUYS!!!!!
HE DID IT!!!! :cheer::points::2thumbs:

I'm gonna copy Brian.. 'I have no words...'
Just. AMAZING.
THOSE PERFECT GOES!!!!
Too bad that Yuzu and Javi had to skate back-to-back so we couldn't see Brian's priceless reaction seeing the score haha. But congrats to him too!

Yuzu seemed to be catching a cold? But surely it didn't affect him much looking at his performance.. let's hope he'll stay healthy and fit and be ready for his free.

I like how at the end of the program he almost release his "fierce Asura face" but then he kind of be conscious and smile instead.

Oh and forgot to add that his step sequence can still be improved somehow..

He's so cute in that short interview 'too close!' and oh well, expected for him to say that he needs to practice more haha. He's so focused and not getting the excitement of the new world record gets to him. How admirable.

That fancam of him watching Javi lol being kinda rebellious eh but nice that he got a say in it and they kinda just let him be. And I see him channeling Brian..

Thanks everyone who shares a lot of videos with different commentaries!

The British uncles were gushing all over Yuzu. What did the Polish uncle say? What's the name of the Polish uncle?

The one who is Yuzu's fanboy (his name is Marek Szewczyk) was not commenting , but the other one and the lady commentator were also gushing over Yuzuru :)

I admit I was worried during the 1st few seconds since he went "sniffed...sniffed" twice! So thinking he has a cold is probably an accurate guess?

I think he smiled in the end remembering the SP finish pose at NHK where he he thought he looked too scary. That's a different man than the one in ANAN for sure!

+ what I like about him is that the Yuzu mania doesnt seem to get to him in a negative way!
Some skaters may just collapse under the pressure of public & press expectation & frenzy but he seems so chill!

Thank you, guys! I was receiving such a big amount of positive energy while reading about your feelings. I also feel like absolutely impressed
Here is the translation of russian commentators, enjoy!)

To this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YK_EwU_qTJo

Man: Yuzuru Hanyu doesn't close the short program. The winner of the Grand Prix final last year and his program, which he is skating the second consecutive year to the music of Chopin and it doesn't lose from the fact that it is not new. It is like a fine wine, already aged wine, the audience gets the enjoy.
(the program has started)
Tarasova: (4S) With the internal ship 4S into the external ship.
Man: All set of threes, it’s 13.5.
Tarasova: Well, what else to do?
Tarasova: (4T+3T) Oh, what a smart guy!
Tarasova: From the first glance it was clear that he would skate like that. Something has changed in him beyond recognition!
Tarasova: (StSq) I'm straight breathing with him, and so the whole audience.
Tarasova: (after the program) This year, he showed that he did not knowingly carries the title of Olympic champion.
Man: Genius. What else can I say?
Tarasova: It was clear that he was a genius man, because he has such abilities. But what he will develop like that ... that in this year there will be such a huge leap… This is fruits of kilometers of ice skating. This is an incredible hard work, the ability to tolerate a huge load, the ability to go to the breaking of your own records.
Tarasova: Generally when you are working not with the talented athlete, but simply with a genius... I was lucky to feel this. I think that Yagudin was such a man. This is of course... Something flipped in the soul of a coach. Because you do not feel neither of yours abilities nor abilities of the athlete. You may think that you will jump in the sky and do what you want. Because the athlete gives you this opportunity. It is absolutely amazing. Thank them very much for what they do this year.
Man: Yuzuru shows that human possibilities are endless. It seemed that after the Japanese performances it's almost impossible to talk about something better. However, we are witnessing another record performance by Hanyu.
Man: 4S, 4T+3T and 3A. Except the axel, arbitrators put all plus three. For the first time in the history of world figure skating the skater gets over 60 points for the technique. And it looks like the first time all judges have put 10 of execution.
Tarasova: Really? It is very nice. In the second half, when he made the StSq, I have already wanted to get up. He blew people from inside. Blew!
Man: The new world record of 111 points to Yuzuru Hanyu. Absolutely the best in their sport.

well, one comment on Skating lesson fb made my day , someone said that this performance wouldn't even made top10 at Worlds if Hanyu wouldn't be japanese :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: :laugh2:
Some people in this world are amazing for me

Just for the laugh, here is the complete FB comment:

What do you mean no skater has ever been able to do what he is doing? Last time I checked he has one world title, an Olympic title won with a horrendous free skate. If he was so good why doesn't he have more of these, if he is the best ever than why did his scores just jump 20+ Points in the past two years? You are right no one has been this mediocre and has received scores this high. Michelle Kwan, Nancy Kerrigan, Elvis Stojko, Dorothy Hamill, Alexei Yagudin, John Curry, etc. these are skaters that did what they could night after night, year after year consistently and everything they won they deserved and earned. Yuzuru is doing so well because he is Japanese. If he was representing, say, Germany, forget about even a top 10 finish at Worlds.

Yuzu Practice FP run-through 4S, 4T, 3F, 4T-3T, 3A-2T, 3A-1Lo-3S, 3Lo, 3Lz held on

:coffee:

lol thanks for the laugh :laugh2: what a comment. just sit back and let him bite his own words. meanwhile, we still have another *possible* record-breaking LP on the line tomorrow
