The gala was awesome, the whole GPF was awesome... but mostly, Hanyu is the shining star here, even with the other guys outdoing themselves. The quad battle was so cool, I had no idea he did a 4Lo, though. So cool!

Feeling so priviliged to have been here two years in a row. Marseille, we have a date!

He's really cool. May I ask you- cause I don't think I'll get the chance to read the entire million pages thread- was there a confirmed info on the next year SP from Buttle or it is just a rumor?

No post or news confirming this for next year yet.

Nothing was said yet. I don't think there was even a rumor about it but I guess some fans assumed so since every SP with buttle has been amazing. And there was a quote from Buttle that indicated they had a new SP planned this season that was rhythmic but as we all know now, his team opted to keep Ballade1 instead. So they might use that next season.

Thank you! I think I spotted a message somewhere and noted to myself that I need to ask this when I get a free minute.

this quad loop looks like competition ready. He had so much room there. He even over rotated it and still landed cleanly

Watching the fancam he was definitely much faster here than at NHK. Choreo was much sharper too.

I think the main problem is that the camera work at NHK is much better than the camera work at GPF. That's why Yuzuru's GPF performance doesn't seem superior than his NHK performance. Japan has the best camera work in competitions. IMO, the camera work at NHK last year & this year, national last year and WTT this year is excellent, better than the camera work at all other competitions.

I agree, and I got mad at the cameramen various times in GPF.

I don't think it's quite there yet. He had to fight to get that free leg back this time, he had to bend his knee a lot. But perhaps next season!

I'm watching the Japanese aired version of his FS and I'm in tears seeing him at the K&C....the pressure to repeat his NHK performance must have been immensely huge. To prove to the world and himself that it wasn't due to some extreme luck (like some people said), it was due to all his years of hardwork and determination knowing that he is fully capable of doing what he set out to do. And the pressure he faced following all those amazing performances from the guys before him and to be the one closing the event.....it's no wonder he broke down. But I'm so glad that it was tears of relief rather than tears of frustration.
