Taka (One Ok Rock vocalist) congratulate Yuzu on his instagram https://www.instagram.com/p/_UCdnmvmc3/

Yuzu said he listened to Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer & Kimishidai Ressha (cmiiw?)
Kanzen Kankaku Dreamer + eng sub https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syq1Je9x6z0
Kimishidai Ressha + eng sub https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2-sWiMhj14

I once came to OOR live and they are so awesome, I can see why Yuzu likes their music and he sings to it passionately :D
I very much approve of the kid's taste in music  I really hope that sometime he gets the chance to be normal enough to go to some bigass rock concert where he can pull out all his crazy dance moves. OOR are an awesome live act, I'm sure he'd have a blast there
:dance3:

Ah, okay, thank you both. :-) I suppose with the new movie coming out, chances are some Japanese fans will eventually make some nice drawings. *fingers crossed*

Well, I'm also a big Star wars fan so it just came to mind when I first watched his FS this season:laugh:. (and I also hope some creative fans will come up with nice fan art  )

OMG guys......Japanese jedi

Kinda OT but I was watching Free! yesterday (the anime about swimming) and I don't understand why there hasn't been a figure skating anime yet. Given the sport and Yuzuru's popularity right now (and after all he is already kinda a real life anime character so they can just like copy his life) it would be a great success i think :) I would watch for sure at least :o:

Yes, yes, :yes2: I support a FS/Yuzu anime, come on Japan I want it.

It seems Yuzuru will appear at "NHK Trophy Figure Skating Special Exhibition", Morioka Ice Arena, Saturday Jan 9th 2016... to mark 5 years (in March 2016) since the devastating earthquake that badly affected Yuzuru's home region among others, and publicise continuing need for support and reconstruction in those areas.

So I guess he won't be returning to Canada for a while? I would expect he'll stay in Japan after Nationals, long enough to attend this show at least?

Veeeery nice list of other participants for that show, by the way:
Mao Asada,
Shizuka Arakawa,
Yukina Ota,
Nobunari Oda,
Hiroaki Sato,
Akiko Suzuki,
Yuka Nagai,
Yuzuru Hanyu,
Rika Hongo,
Takeshi Honda,
Satoko Miyahara,
Takahito Mura

Evgeni Plushenko,
Philippe Candeloro,
Meryl Davis and Charlie White,
Yuko Kawaguti & Alexander Smirnov
Novice Junior skaters,
children other Miyagi and Iwate Prefecture Skating Union recommendation

(appearance skater might be subject to change)

Holy shiiit, does Japan has the best lineup in the world or what.

Then again, I can see why it hasn't been done yet. It'll be a challenge for animators to draw a whole program because there's the spins, jumps, step sequence, the choreography overall, like it'll only work if the animation was done with precision in every detail of these elements, but if not...:slink:

But hey, you got figure skating. It's like a soap opera. We got the drama, scandals, romance, corruption, charismatic skaters like that of main characters on a show, and it doesn't get much better than that

It looks like I got some Dutch commentaries again from Eurosport. Just wanted to check here, make sure it hasn't been transcribed yet, or put on-line, before I spend time on transcribing it (time is in short supply right now, cuz I also want to go all fan-girly over Star Wars right now, hehehe). I haven't been able to keep up with the thread during my week in Barcelona, so...

I loved that idea. I hope it becomes reality.
