Thank you for everyone's lovely fan accounts and pictures/videos! :thank::hap85:

Thank you so much for sharing, and lucky you!

The big body guard with a dead serious face (towards the fan anti/grandma) and Yuzu keeping his head down with a shy little smile make a perfect contrast.

Hello guys!
I don't post often, mostly reading (seems like I have a number of pages to catch up), but now just wanted to say "I was there!" Barcelona is very nice city, audience at the arena was great, the whole competition was awesome, men's free was amazing and Yuzu in the Gala finale was like icing on the cake! So the whole event was like one big celebration or early Christmas!)))
I stalked skaters a little (and I'm not sorry))). The first time was on occasion after friday practise - I was just warming up at the sun near arena, after some time I saw a little crowd near Marriot entrance - Orser was giving autographs and taking pictures with fans (and I wanted one too), and at some moment I turned around and saw Yuzu walking like almost at arms reach in front of me (I don't know if he heard the sound of my jaw dropping :jaw::love:), but I didn't ran after him, wanted my photo with papa Orser (he is very kind and patient with fans really), I also didn't see the moment when Tracy Wilson also decided to take picture with us

Thanks Lunna for sharing! Glad that you have lots of fun!

So, Yuzu's ISU bio states that he trains 14h/week in low season and 12h/week in high season. Does anyone else feel that's very unlikely? Like, there's no way he'd be in that shape on 2 hours training a day?

If you just look at the number it does seem a little unlikely but his training isn't all about on ice training. He's got other classes to do like pilates, gym, ballet (? idk he mentioned of wanting to take classes but idk if he does it now or not), etc. Plus too much on ice time in a day probably isn't that good/not as effective in my opinion. I could be wrong and it may vary with different skaters. But if you think about it it makes sense? I mean distributing the training sessions/classes in the best way to make it effective and efficient at the same time. I know it's probably different in every field/sport, the practice time and all that.

But whichever way they arrange his training, I think it's working so well on him now.. :agree2:

that's just on ice training I guess. But it's visible he is doing a lot work in gym right now

Kinda gets me wondering why it is so low since, its 20h/week in high season for Javi and 28h/week for Nam... Well, whatever works for Yuzu :)

They probably mixed up Javi and Yuzu again. Remember the GPF programme book, which published Yuzu's LP as Guys and Doll and Yuzu somehow was born on Javi's birthdate?

I had this same discussion recently with another group of Yuzu fans, probably over at facebook. Apparently (?) the numbers only indicate on-ice hours, and for younger skaters the numbers are much higher. When you're 'older', you need to work less on your skating skills. Off-ice hours aren't taken into account.

I'm not 100 % sure if this is true, but this is what seemed to be the general concensus.

Watching the RAISport TV coverage and even if I don't speak the language I feel like I understand them  and what better way to end the program with 'MAMMAMIA!! FANTASTICO!!' :gclap:
They're always so enthusiastic for Yuzu. :agree2:

I don't think their site is updated because those numbers have been the same for a long time (years?)

This, I think Yuzuru basic information haven´t change since before he went to Borser.

Guess who is first again in this years athlete rankings (voted by female college students) http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3iiycu_関西の女子大学生が選ぶスポーツ名場面_sport
Nice Mao is also there.

I find it cute that people call him Hanyu-kun.

Question to those that were in Barcelona, does Mao has as much security as Yuzuru?

Really?? I thought there weren't any numbers for quite a while and then they suddenly updated it? I could be wrong though...

This, *very true*. A bit too much for my taste at times, actually, but I bet it really helped the skaters. Actually, I remember during the first day of practice, someone (no clue who, sorry) made some hand gestures for the music to be turned up a bit.

It was Alexander Smirnov, from Pairs. He put a hand to his ear and they turned the volume up ;).
